Since you are doing repaints, could you make a couple of variations and number changes and give us the USS New Jersey, Wisconsin, Missouri?...............  I make missions for AG-51 and some variation in color of the BB's would make the Task Force look correct.

Beautiful work by the way.  She looks more like the Missouri I went on in Bremerton back in 96/97........ the New Jersey was tied up right next to her... one of my runnin mates reenlisted on the Mizou in 96... we stood on the plaque in her decks where the Japanese surrendered in 45..... then got to walk around her afterwards.

I was thinking about this. Of course I can do this, but this will be only an option. They will need their own slots.

The Radge:

Here's some links I used when I was doing the USN CVs, CVLs and, DDs.

These two links, from Snyder and Short Enterprises, show a well researched data base:
This one is the main link to USN camouflage with links to various details:
http://www.shipcamouflage.com/warship_camouflage.htm
This one gives you the rundown on the various Measures used:
http://www.shipcamouflage.com/measures.htm

This link, from the Naval Historical Center is for specific BBs in the USN during 1943-1944:
http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/sh-co-mk/camouflg/usn-wwii/3--bb3.htm

Having painted ships in Il2 I can appreciate the amount of work needed to make these look good. And having to work around having only one hull side makes things non-historical from the other side; especially when using the Measures 31-32-33 and the various Designs within those Measures.

Hope these help.

Hello Bob! Thank you very much for these links but I think I won't go deeply into painting the whole SAS fleet... :-\ Sorry... Now I'm thinking to finish camouflage version and update the clean and finally start working with the early BBs ;)

Ohh... And of course duplicate these two skins, marking it as others Iowa class battleships. Are you interested in making classes for them?

The Radge:

Sorry man, I just sling paint around. I can't do 3D and I can't do classes - Asheshouse graciously did the classes for the ships I painted and Western updated the CVLs later.

Oh, and I didn't mean to suggest you paint anything other than what you want to paint. I was just giving you the colours to use and how the Deck Blue was used for the horizontal surfaces.

Oh... that screen is just for you to show the colour of the deck. Of course I'll paint it all carefully on the assumption of TAMIYA pictures and so on forecastle ;)
Ah, here's the thing ...

The only problem will be that fact that forecastle use the same texture as the upper part of the catapults, so the will look the same (cats should be grey).
What, again?!

Kstati, zovite menya na tyi, mne vsevo-to 16 :)
As you wish! ;D

Beautifull ship and perfect repaints ...

One more little thing ... visual vapor remained too high after ten010's fix ...

Open Hull02.msh in a text editor and replace ...

[HookLoc]
1 0 0  0 1 0  0 0 1    -8.5    0.0000    32.95
1 0 0  0 1 0  0 0 1    -34.9 0.0000    32.95

with this:

[HookLoc]
1 0 0  0 1 0  0 0 1    -8.5    0.0000    31.55
1 0 0  0 1 0  0 0 1    -34.9 0.0000    31.55

greeting ...
