from my heavy modded 412.2/all the latest mods on how to keep the f4 from blowing up beyound mach1.
1-dl and install the very1st f4 mod
2-dl and overwrite it with the next new one
3-dl and install the canopy mod
4-dl and overwrite with the f4 1.40 which is the latest

Before installing version 1.40 ,
you have to erase the old "_00_F-4 Phantom II" folder completely.
version 1.40 is new full-set 3D/2D/classfiles, not compatible to old one.

thanks for the attempted assist, kingsley.
besides what western has pointed out, but at this point, i no longer even know which mods you're referring to by 'very first', 'next new', 'open canopy mod','latest' and so on.
backups i have up the wazoo, working versions in TFM, for instance, but as far as my favorite Modact version goes, i give up, i do (lol ).
- i have already tried every combination i can think of, and then some, so i'll rather wait in hope that one day someone consolidates all these differing versions into one comprehensive mod that includes everything we need, and working.
if that never happens, so be it.
for now, as i said, i'll stick to the props and leave well enough alone, as far as the jets go.

version1.33 didn't have the cockpit....

Well I have the cockpit but the gauges inside not move at all...not the variometer needle, not the altitude one...artificial horizon not move.....
I installd it by activating with modact this:

Now would you not wonder on how someone has a f4 with everything working and does not blow up going over mach1 all guages work/missiles hit where you aim. And does it differant than from the way everybody else does. I do not have a single post on nothing works anywhere. I fix and change them to work the way they are first posted. I made a offer so people can enjoy the f4 the way I do. And if the way I wrote is a tad bit cryptic sorry about that. Also all the other jets are working as stated they should be was going to post the way I fixed them with no conflicts between mods. Along with the props that people are still having problems with.

You say you installed "F-4 Phantom II By SAS~S3".
This is S3's F-4 Phantom II version 1.31 on 2012 not had cockpit gauges.
S3's F-4 Phantom II version 1.31 was posted by himself in his own topic , not my this topic.

I say again from my 1st post.

Sorry to annoy...but after following properly the install instruction I tryed the Phantom through Quick mission builder...now after loading the mission, after 100% i get this error then crash:

6Dof/TIR Enabled Executable for Modded Il-2 Sturmovik 1946 has stopped working

All solved.

Did an alternate vanilla 4.12.2m install.
Installed all what is needed to make the Phantom work properly. All was working good.
Then i dragged and dropped the foder required for F4 from the fresh install to the old Il2 big modded install.
Now all works perfectly.

I use also TFM 412 , and the Phantom II has the issues noticed by TBear .
More : it overheats very fast, after 5 secodns at full throttle ...( I play always realism settings ) .

TFM 4.12's Phantom may be not mine version 1.40.

It may be old version 1.31.

I downloaded v 1.40 from first post and installed it on Modact 5.30 .
There is no more overheating issue and I got the new cockpit

And What about the little old folder named " 00_F-4_weapon " ?
Should it be used with v 1.40 or removed , please ?
