Also, in the absence of a Guide (at least I haven't been able to find one so far), can you tell me how I raise the "flaps" that are under the wings? I'm not sure what they are called, but they are just aft of the left and right undercarriage.

Maybe those you are saying are airbrakes.

After engines start and get enough hydropressure (in F-4 cockpit , hydropressure meters are not implemented) , you push Airbrake key , then airbrakes will be retracted.

I get a 100% CTD now memory error with any aircraft, and this is what the log says:

*Edit: I do have Engine mod 2.7, western patch, countermeasures mod, Jetwar 1.33, and all of the other goodies.

*Edit 2: I figured out the the Western Patch is conflicting with something I don't know what.

Please install SAS Engine MOD western's patch.

When some MOD conflicts that patch , choose 1 from F-4 or another MOD.

It was a missunderstood installing SAS Engine MOD western's patch. (I wasn't  overwriting SAS Engine 2.7 original mod at #SAS )

I have all the mods including the engine western patch istalled, did it on a clean install, with modact, engine mod and so on. It has to be something with the b-17, i dont know why: when i have the phantoms at the end of air.ini, i get a pink b-17 skin (but i can do nothing), in front of the air.ini i get the air.ini.
I had several problems with the engine mod in the past, it has something to be incompatible with my laptop. (Everything runs fine except for yak-36 freehand and the enginemod,Thanks

Hi. I have a problem: when I installed this plane, I got a bug (maybe conflict, dunno) : when I trying to launch AGM-65 from any plane, Il-2 just crashing.
How can I fix this? I had some mod with this AGM before - all was okay, after installing Phantoms - got it.
Any ideas? Please, so wonna use it. D:

more to say: I can't launch AIM-9 missiles. When I launch it - rocket stay on pylin, after it when I puch launch button again - it's stick-out from plane and... Just stay in one place in air, without any speed.

I installed western engine mod and it still crashed after loading to 100%. Any help?

You might mistake in installing.
