I ask for help for landing this plane . Because I always crash when trying .
Could a skilled player share information about flaps / airbrakes /  approaching  speed / approaching altitude / for landing the Phantom II , on airfield and on carrier , please ?

Hi Draken.

I have had a lot of trouble in the past landing modern jets, but here's how I managed to land the F-4:
Begin approach at @500 kph, around 10 km from the airfield (rough estimate). Begin lowering flaps, first to combat level until you get to ~450 kph, and then to takeoff to get to 400-ish. Lower landing flaps at this stage as well. Keep throttle at around 30-40 % power. By now, you should be lowering your speed to about 380-370 kph, and be very close to the airfield. Just before getting over the strip, drop your gear.
At about 350-340 kph, drop your airbrake and flare slightly. Touchdown speed should be about 290-280 kph. As soon as you make contact with the runway (hopefully without a "kaboom") raise your flaps, drop your throttle, and hit the brakes.

Granted, this is how it worked when I got it to work. I have only successfully landed a Phantom once, so I am no expert. Good Luck!

For me, landing by F-4 is very hard and almost impossible in Visual Flight, too.

But using ILS (set ILS Stationary Object on the runway and tune the Beacon reciever to it) , I often succeed in landing.
Please use the sample mission in 1st post.

I'm also developing PAPI Stationary Objects now, it will help you as same as ILS.

With checking chute drag effect in both F-4 classfiles and Engine MOD classfiles, it works as planned to increase Drag value.
Looking at the real time internal values movings, it's OK.
I have no idea why we feel nothing effective about the Chute in the flight.

Try applying dragchute while still above RWY... it slow's down as hell.

Does anyone has noticed this glitch? When flying at low speed and altitude with gear and flaps extended, the plane can randomly roll left or right as if I'd pushed the stick.

how can we fix this problem? It suddenly rolls left as explained above...
