Does anyone has noticed this glitch? When flying at low speed and altitude with gear and flaps extended, the plane can randomly roll left or right as if I'd pushed the stick.

how can we fix this problem? It suddenly rolls left as explained above...Should we avoid getting below aproxx. 280km/h ?

I know those bad , non-historical behavier , but.....
Now I have no idea.

I try landing many times but in that final stage I'm very very busy to control , so I cannot remember how much decrease its speed I could. I could look at the HUD Speedbar or cockpit Speedmeter only after succeeding landing or crashing.
But maybe 290km/h.

Now SAS's flightmodel professinals begin to discuss how to tune the flightmodels of modern Jets to make thier behavier more historical.
If we will get an answer, it may feed back to F-4.

Same goes for the MiG-19 ;)

Yeah,I've noticed the same issue with F/A-18. It can randomly happen on takeoff or landing, resukting a crash in most of cases, especially at takeoff.  :(

And, to get back to the F-4,would it be possible to have a working radar scope now that we have the F/A-18 with a wonderfully working radar?  ;)

Exactly F/A-18's flightmodel is one of main term of the discussion.

I havn't got textbooks about the Radar equipped on F-4, what visual is indicated on the scope, etc.
If I can see it in a "Movie" like on YouTube, that may help us more than books.

But in my thought, F/A-18's radar screen is "Not Raw reflection of Radio waves" .... it's filtered and picked-up aircraft shadows from noises or clutters by wise computer, in the other hand 1960 time F-4's Radar scope may show only Raw reflection of Radio waves.
On F-4, pilots or WSOs may have to identify aircraft shadows as bright points by only 2 eyes from much noises/ clutters similar to aircraft shadows.

I think I can import the Radar function from F/A-18's cockpit into F-4, but it will be far from historical, too easy like an "OOPArt".

No,I didn't mean to put the F/A-18 radar on the F-4,but since the coding has been created for the F/A-18's radar,I was thinking about re-using the same coding to make a working radar on the F-4.  ;)

Not thinking surely, but I feel the codes importable from F/A-18 into F-4 around Radar is about 40% or 30%.
Other 60% or 70% may need scratch to make classic CRT screen.

Oh,OK. But we have a franken of the E-2C Hawkeye with a circular radar scope (on which you see targets around you from above) and I think the F-4 scope is similar,so you could take the scope from the E-2C and adapt it to the Phantom ;)

Putting the Radar on F-4 was also part of my plan, I'll do it, and I know just how...  ;)

WoW.

If S3 will touch again F-4, I have some requests about external 3D.
I also can them by myself but rebuilding all the smoothings after they are lost in importing deters me to begin.

to the unpredictable roll on landing - it appears at around 160 instrument knot speed when close to ground, with pull and having throttle up. Hope it helps
