here a turn rate graph of F-4 (compared with F-15 lol)

the main target for now is to reach same degree/second values, i'm very close to it

as you can see the top turn rate value is reached at mach 0.8 (almost at all altitudes) then performances become worse

actually i can replicate in IL-2 the first part of curve, till mach 0.8

to do a good job with the second part of curve i ask help to S3 to build a new code to manage elevators effectiveness vs speed, and also a code to increase lost of energy in transonic and supersonic turns

according with following sources i'm building new loadouts and i'm fixing fuel consumption to have realistic combat radius

engine performances are already good

i will do the same for all jets

If you get any more good data on the F4, could you post it here please.

I'm using the F4 as my test aircraft for the flight sim I'm writing and would love to get the flight dynamics model as close to real as possible.

By the way this is a large PDF file, but a hell of a good read.

Hi,

if you wanna grab the Mig-21FMs as well, I could add sources and small documents. Already pm*d with S3 for that matter and specified needed changes based on RL sources and my humble interpretation.
My fav IL-2 planes as for jets.

Cheers and also to the other SAS team gents, no net atm, but being able to transport some data and info would be doable via friend accounts.
Always for granted as you know it is not an important mod, known issue. :) :P

Thorst.

Western offers patch v1.41 with stationary Phamtoms,
sadly the links are disabled/broken.

So let us wait for Westerns answer.  ;)

I mistook something.

Here is the Beta patch of 30/Dec/2014 containing stationary aircrafts.

https://www.mediafire.com/download/s40xnxhe1cbn9kc/F-4_Phantom_II_ver1.41_patch_Beta20141230.7z

Adding
- AAM station's status reflects missile's Lock-on
- show direction numbers when ILS/TACAN/NDB are selected
- change AoA meter and indexer scaling
- retouch AoA indexer texture
- Stationary Plane for B/D/E/J (stationary.ini and technics.ini are written in Readme)

many thanks Western. Didn't know why the patch dissappeared
thefore I didn't upload what I had.

I edited post #1 and added a link to this patch,
so that members must not read and search the whole thread.
Hope this is OK.  ;)
