Attention, multiple screenshots ahead.
These ones are telling the story of a mission flown a couple of days ago, to be precise it was on september 28. The FAC was flying "Iwo Jima", defending homeland of the Japs.

FMJ was one of the first to encounter the attacking U.S. fighter-bombers. After getting his controls shot and loosing both legs on the emergency approach he's had enough of it:
Me taking on a group of attacking corsairs a little later:
The airspace was quite crowded where the action took place, you had to look around a lot and not always did what you see make you happy:
On the other hand crowded airspace means lots of targets:
Me scoring the first kill. Get close...
...avoid...
...enjoy the warming comfort of the fireplace behind you:
Getting close again...
...but forgot to avoid. When you can see your enemy that close, then it doesn't mean any good:
For me neither:
FMJ seeking revenge:
gerula shortly before splattering a Hellcat:
Me behind another hellcat...
...getting quite close again...
...avoidance respected but...
...caught by the cat's detonation:
The next hellcat, this time skylla:
Skylla enjoying his perfect kill:
Bravo catching another hellcat...
...his victim didn't see him in time, dropped the tank but too late:
Me encountering a group of Avengers. No. 1:
No. 2:
No. 3:
...and while aligning with no. 4, suddenly tracers appear behind me:
Breaking away I see that this is an AI "buddy". They do a "great" job in shouldershooting on this map:
Disturbing as AI "fellows" are, they don't even hit their targets but instead in their desperate attempt to snapshot someone from your crosshairs, they overshoot:
At least that meant I could finish No. 4 too:
He's going down...
...impact!
A typical desperate and historically even quite correct scene.
Bravo is entering a box of B-24 from above, while watching rockdoon doing the attack in banzai style:
...the inevitable result:
Bravo stays brave and continues his attacks...
...this time interrupted by Bonez who's cutting in...
...getting what he deserved:
Sometimes we have "random" guests, this one is "-302-kolliber":
...and once more kolliber:
bb attacking a B-24, while AI is cutting in from below...
...but AI get's what they deserve too:
Me finishing another B-24:
And now comes a classic story of that mission.
Background of the story is that our "grand" Gubi ended the mission almost when it started, getting a headshot from some unknown enemy pilot, he never saw him coming.
When most of the action was over, we noticed that his plane was still in the air. Gubi stated he's been perfectly trimmed and his aircraft was going flat circles all the time.
So we watched out for him and lined up...
Front: Gubi. Right behind: Skylla. Cockpit: Me.
"KT" (KINGTIGER503) joined us.
Leading Zeke is Gubi, smoking behind him is me, above KT, below to the right skylla:
Going close to take a look at Gubi. "He's dead, Jim!"
The group of 4, left to right: Gubi, Skylla, me, KT.
KT's wild maneuvres should have been a warning for us already...
Gubi and me, perfectly aligned:
KT trying to get closer:
...not quite what formation flying should look like: KT crossing in front:
Hard to spot that something's going wrong badly here...
...but from the other side it becomes obvious. KT cuts Gubi's left wing with his tail:
Gubi's aircraft immediately starts disintegrating...
...taking KT with him milliseconds later...
...leaving me in the debris...
...with the damage to be expected...
...but at least skylla could watch the scene unthreatened, best place, 1st row:
Mr. Spock is not amused:
Time to reveal the secret of Gubi's death. He doesn't know about it until today.
It all started when Gubi went after a Corsair, with rockdoon in front:
...what Gubi didn't see was the Corsair's wingman flying right underneath Gubi...
...and while Gubi prepared his deadly shot...
...the wingman did so too...
...with significantly greater success. First bullet PK:
End of story.
