Nvidia DSR plus a custom tool developed by a guy called "Orbmu2k".
Usually DSR can cramp up your resolutions to 4x DSR and 4K max only, but with this tool you can use "fantasy" resolutions as much as your GPU can take it.
Download here: http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=10655298&postcount=1292
The post is in german but the tool is english.
The attached file is the latest version of the tool, but that one works only on Nvidia Driver Version 352.x through 353.12.
The fileupload link http://www.file-upload.net/download-10504298/CustomDSRTool.zip.html takes you to the "old" version which works with any driver version.
Using this tool I created a 16x DSR entry which gives me 8K on my native FullHD display.
You can barely read anything (see game title in the lower left of the screnshot below) and the FPS of course is crap, but taking screenshots from NTRK playback works great.

A couple of screencaps from yesterday's sunday session of the FAC (you might know already, we meet every sunday 2PM GMT on the SAS Gameserver).
These images are just some quick snapshots from the "Kuban" mission gracefully provided by 439th_WTornado and finetuned by bomberkiller.
Not necessarily artistically valuable, just showing off :D

Images straight from the game, unedited.

The Clowns had much fun testing the hook/unhook process of I-16 SPB fighters on the TB-3 bombers last evening.
All of this took place on the SAS Gameserver, next time you will want to join us to see the Clowns flying with your own eyes ;)

Starring:
TB-3: skylla
I-16 (right wing): Rockdoon
I-16 (left wing): Storebror
I-16 (not attached): bomberkiller

Nice shots Mike!

The I-16 (bk) had later tried to link back to the flying TB-3 flown by skylla.

Not successful, here Track IR is well needed!

It's impossible to attach to the TB-3 inflight with UP3 RC4 at the moment.
Currently the checks performed in code for attaching are
  • TB-3 gears have to be on ground
  • TB-3 speed must be less than 10 km/h
  • I-16 speed must be less than 10 km/h
  • Distance between I-16 and hook point must be less than 5m

This will get fixed with the next UP3 Patch Pack, as well as enabling ground attachment of MXY-7 to G4M-2 and Bf 109 / Fw-190 to Ju-88 Mistel.

I don't believe that there was any contemplation, let alone capability, to attach while the TB-3 was in flight.

From Wikipedia:
Quote
During one of the test flights, I-Z pilot Korotkov incorrectly timed the locking maneuver and the lift generated by his fighter broke the docking frame and crashed him into the bottom of the mothership's wing. As the bomber came in for an emergency landing with both fighters still attached, the slow landing speed of the TB-3 resulted in loss of lift for the I-Z which fell away, killing Korotkov. This was the most serious accident of the entire Zveno program despite the inherent complexity of carrying as many as five aircraft, performing mid-air launches and dockings, and damage to the motherships by propellers and landing gear of the fighters. Tests with various combinations of aircraft determined that top-mounted configurations presented the most difficulty in docking due to turbulent airflow coming off the mothership's wings. The problem of safe underwing attachment was solved with the appearance of the Polikarpov I-16 fighter with retractable landing gear. This permitted the use of the same rigid mounting frames as for the top-mounted aircraft.

Ha He tried to scrape you off like dog poo Storebror.

Pretty sweet tho.  Can this e done with an AI bomber, or does it have to be all human?

And how to I get Mistels still linked together in quick mission, or can you not..?

Hello Sundowner,

you see my pics. It was a quick mission, the TB-3_4M_34R_SPB was an AI aircraft and I've flown the I-16 SPB.

The Ju-88 Mistel we'll try at next.  ;)

Best regards,

Gerhard  :)
