That's beautiful Captain! About the found raising, other than the virtual flying community, you guys might want to target Studio Ghibli's fans, especially in Japan. Sometime ago i saw a similar project in which they were building a flyable "Mehve" - from Nausicaa of the valley of the wind.

:D Shyrsio, believe me, our Project is already the center of interest of some very important people around the world.. ;) .

And someone in Japan, a very special person indeed, is following the S.21 Project with great attention... ;)

We are now looking to rise funds to buy a suitable  and enough powerful V-12 engine... If someone of you guys have something hidden in the barn, the time to make a step forward is NOW! :D

Our plans are: When finished and ready the S.21 will make a World-tour for propaganda purposes and to rise funds for the next Project - wich is a flying replica of "Le Burrasque". Probably, after crossing the USA West to East the next etape will be Europe. Jean Luc is planning to marry a great Italian girl (I was the Bow-armed Cupid :D ) and he pretends to came to the wedding flying the S.21. Then of course Japan will be one of the most important countries to be visited. After that we'll see how to plan the following moves, but for sure Latin América and of course Brazil will be a "must" (C.Rennier - Stay tuned ;) ). I have a very personal idea about the S.21 when here in Brazil. (MWHAHAHA)...

Cheers!

Great project and that last picture is really lovely!

To make it even prettier, I dumped it into photoshop and made a very small adjustment.
I hope you, nor the original artist minds. :)

Gents, please, I would like to ask this thread to be made sticky, as it is something very important and of general interest (building a real plane from scratch is not a so common thing to be seen at every corner). People envolved actively from all around the World, and already hundreds of fans.

Hoping for the support of the SAS Team to rise the interest for this Project.
Thank you in advance.

Hi CD,

As interesting as your project might be and as much as we all wish you success with it, please understand that this is somewhat unrelated to what we're entertaining in our forums in general.
Now that we're here in the lounge where you can basically discuss whatever you want, we're happy to have this thread here, but making a thread sticky which is rather off topic is something we have to refuse, sorry.
In general you might be interested to share information with others who are more into the same kind of business elsewhere, for instance here you should find valuable resources:

Roger that, Mike. I understand your point of view, and respect it.
In any case thank you for the support and for the links.
I'll continue to update the thread whenever possible.

Cheers.

Capt. Diavolo
I do say I might just be able to help you in that direction for a v-12 and in what flavor do you wish. German/Brit./Russian/USA. Plus the funds is at what level for new or do you want one that you must rebuild and test.

Thanks, Kingsley!

I will talk with Jean Luc and will come up with the tech specifications we are looking for.

He is the tech-man.

Personally I would look after a 700 to 800 HP V-12 that can be reliable, and that will fit inside the engine nacelle. Our dream would be a FIAT AS.2 "Folgore", but as far as I know, there is only one preserved in a museum....  :P
