I have completed preliminary slot. Currently using MC.205 cockpit, is this acceptable or is another preferred?

The skin TGAs in the Multi1/summer folder does not appear to have correct mapping.

Concerning the landing gear. The retraction of the gear doors can be corrected easily, however I believe the pivot points on the ain gear struts may need to be altered.

Thanks again,

Great work guy,
on my opinion you have to use Re2002 cockpit, 'cause they are of the same family.
Waiting to try

Beautiful. So cool! 8)  One of the best WW2 fighters. Glad somebody(s) is bringing it to life for our beloved IL-2. You are clever you modders I can't seem to get the basics. :( Your efforts are appreciated greatly. Cheers :)

My two cents...

For the cockpit, you can try with the one from Re.2001  ;) (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,37239.0.html). The 3d it's different from stock Re.2000, and more closer to 2001/2005 blisters.

But also the C.205's cockpit is good enough and ready for use. The choice is yours!  :)

P.s. Many thanks to 101tfs an CWatson for the effort on this beautiful fighter!

Bye!

Slot with new flight model complete:

https://www.mediafire.com/download/gxd86d7aa0ppq68/RE-2005+July+19th+v2.rar

Landing gear has been fixed.

The pivot points on the GearL2 and GearR2 were orientated wrong, that is what was causing the gear
to lean to the rear.   I have added  additional gear meshs from the Hellcat to give additional pivot point. Gear now appears normal.

Also, some of the gear meshes had to be rearranged in the heir him to place L parts on the left and R parts on the right.

At this point slot is done and all gear and doors open and are synchronized .

What needs to be done. Tail wheel bay interior has no mesh, so when gear is open, looking inside is a void.

As mentioned above, clips need to be adjusted so the nose does not sink into the ground when plane crashes.

Unsure where indentations for MGs on cowling hood are mapped on skin, they appear interior green.
