Blender IL-2?
« on: June 22, 2014, 08:02:30 PM »

Is it possible fir objects (simple or complex) that created with Blender to be imported into IL-2, or do the objects still need to be made with 3Ds Max 3, 4 or 5?

Only I heard, Diving_Hawk uses Blender for his 3D works (IJN Yamato and USS Iowa) with MshConverter.

But he is away from modding for months.

I know you can open models used in Il-2 in Blender, I have done so in my failed Mig-19 radar version 3D model, but im not sure about exporting it. I hope it does work

Yes - it is possible to use Blender to create models, map them and export for use in IL-2. I'm using it under Linux as well. See https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43893.0.html
