Wow, I just showed how much of a douchebag I can be myself:

The entry in the "shift+tab" log as posted above is identically to the logfile output. :D :-[

Yeah, the beer is on me (the 3rd=now).

Time to stop posting lol and come back tomorrow. :D

Well, spooky_m., hope I could help anyway a bit. See last post, maybe a clue. :-\
 :)

Just a question:
in JSGME have you enabled 'High Resolution Texture DLLs' and 'True Color Textures for Dark Blue World'?
I guess you have done that already but you never know.

And how about other high rez maps like the Rabaul 1944 map:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,39938.0.html
Does it give you the same kind of error?

Or redownload the textures again. Perhaps that particular white mountain texture got corrupted somehow.

Those are the only suggestions I can give you.

Yes, I enabledthe Hi-Res Texture DLL's and True Color Textures for SAS ModAct, as I dont use DBW. Anyway, enabling the DBW Version didnt change it.

I just installed Rabaul as a test, same error with another texture.
BUT the MiSp_Pacific map words perfectly, and I think it's HD as well.

EDIT: dont worry if you can't figure it out, I'll find a way (It'll just take me some time I guess)

The MiSp_Pacific map has normal textures (1024x1024) and not 2048 size ones.
Since you have the same problem with another high resolution map it must have something to do with Carsmaster's High Rez mod itself.
I would advise you to read through his thread for a possible answer or ask over there:

As you might expect, I would have trouble with the map.  I downloaded it, put the folders where the readme instructed, made sure that I had those two high res things activated in JSGME (one is the "light"), but all I get when I try to load the map is "vkg_Crete/load.ini loading error" in FMB, and it won't load in QMB either.  I have always had a great amount of respect for you smart guys here.  Being 72 (two months ago) I'm just not very smart in addition to being pretty old, and so always  try to do what you are telling others.  But....I have to admit.  What I read about textures and objects and such, well, I just don't understand them at all.  As for my question.  I saw something in this thread about maybe some object files have to be installed.  As I said, I haven't a clue what they do, and if I try to install them (emphasis on "try"), do I stand the chance of screwing up my whole game?  And additionally, speaking of the high res files, I guess they work since I tried some HD skins and they seem to do OK.  I did copy the lines into my all.ini file.  What have I done wrong?  What should I try next (short of just giving up)?  Hope I have made sense here.  I tried.  Thanks for any help/advice you would be willing to impart.  Thank you for your patience.  Almost forgot.  My game is 4.12.2m SAS ModAct 5.30 and Flyables V5.30

After having successfully installed and run missions on this map multiple times, for some unkwon, I too am getting the loading error message. Can anyone provide some guidance? I am running DBW 1.71. Again, it worked previously, but not now.
