Jerry cans ? Where is the gas?
« on: June 30, 2014, 10:26:37 AM »

Hey guys, I have been looking all over my objects files for some Jerry cans. I think I saw some of those once.
Do we  have jerry cans in this game?
 I am not sure now.

Back in WW2 both the allies and Axis forces were using jerry cans to transport gas and water and I cannot seem to
find any in my game.
I probably missed some download of this mod...perhaps... Or maybe a model was never made before (?)

You may be asking "Jerry who"?  ;D

Jerry Cans, jerry-cans

A nice row of 10 or 20  jerry-cans is very good. It can be used to put in the trucks, or
on the airbase near airplanes.

wow! Those look perfect.
Many air bases will need them,
perhaps even on some of your new trucks  ;)
Thank you so much Western.

Now I have to research which color Jerry-Cans were for water and which color are for fuel. :D
No one wants to drink fuel. AAAHAHAHAH

No one wants to drink fuel.

Or have a plane's fuel tank filled with water!  ;D

I'm wondering how about "Before Jerry can" on RAF , and Japan.
Japan never used Jerry cans.

I'm searching those informations.... and I find "British 4 gallons" can and "Itto can" (Itto mean 5 gallons in Japanese).
Those 2 cans are very similar.
If max_thehitman has an interest about it, I will add a 3D of "British 4 gallons".

+1
How about "Pail" of 5 gallons?

~

wait, no need to create a new "Pail container". The game already has 2 versions of pails.
I could paint another version and create another static-object if its needed.

I think the Japanese used the jerry can, or perhaps they were captured equipment taken from allies on islands.

OK, I found website where it says, the japanese never used Jerry-can, but only barrels.
They look like small barrel on top of the tank in photo.

Max:

Once we have the cans we just adjust their height in the static.ini file to put them on trucks, scaffolds, wings etc...

Just an idea: Could you "tip" one at say a 450 angle so it could be added on a plane's wing, with an appropriate human, to look like a refueling operation?
