For map-makers. Can someone make kids' playground stuff - swings, slide, etc to give some personality and variation to cities and villages? And so we can bomb them? (Just kidding!)

hmmm....well okay, why not - but there are many more important and useful things that can be done, this is just a little off the beaten path, if you know what i mean.
i would rather the limited amount of 3d guys spend their time making useful stuff, this is what i would call a frivolous request, and i hope not to see too many of these.
i get the impression that some guys are starting to request whatever silly thoughts come in their heads on the day, instead of seriously thinking about it.
okay, let's stop working on the new jets, missiles and other planes to build some kid's playground stuff.
if that's okay with the other members, then we can do it, sure....
priorities, people - priorities...  ???

Sorry, I will not create that "playground" object.
I do find it to be a good idea, but let us not forget that this is a "war game" and everything in it can be bombed and blown to pieces
and bombing a school playground is not my sort of fun. I don´t want to do that to a children school.

But anyone can create such objects if they wish for their own personal game, using the already available models we have in the game.

For example,
We already have a set of Army training camp objects. They could also be used as children school playground objects if you wish.
Look into your game static-object folders and look for 6 objects... MapMods\3do\Buildings\Battlefield\Trailexercice01
There are 6 objects in your game....Trailexercice01... Trailexercice02...Trailexercice03... etc. etc.

Some guys like making static objects for maps. These little things add a lot of realism. The washing lines, outhouse, dog kennel, etc in the Slovakia map objects are an example. They are no more frivolous than the step ladders, bulletin boards, etc that are made for airfields. Also barrels, oil cans, windsocks, etc.

And re the "propriety" of blowing up kids' toys? Well, we blow up houses and factories and a lot of other stuff. And none of it is real.

sure mate - the request itself is fine, otherwise i might've pulled it - i'm just voicing my concerns that lately there have been several requests for what i term 'frivolous' things, not that we don't want these things, but they are really distractions from more important, missing objects, which can be much more useful to all of us.
so, sure, if someone wants to make a kids playground, i won't/can't stop them, but it would be better if the guys were focused on the more important missing and useful objects, than ones which we really have little use for - as i said, we really should be prioritising here...
but, by all means, carry on...
