Hello again ...  ;)

Like Epervier, I have never seen or read anything about external bomb pylons regarding any MB 174/175 version ...

The MB 174 A3 (only 56 built) had a bomb bay that was so small that it could only carry 8x50 kg bombs

The MB 175 B3 (only 25 were delivered before the defeat) had a longer and wider fuselage and could theoretically carry up to 600 kg of total bomb load but in fact either 4x100 kg or 2x200 kg bombs

The torpedo version, MB 175 T was built in 1947 for the French navy, and saw service until 1950 ...
"...In aviation the Vichy government remained only one part per MB-174 group GR II/33 in Tunisia. In early 1942, the aircraft received its ventral bomb racks under one bomb weighing 250 kg. They were intended for shallow dive-bombing. Subsequently tested for such suspension 500 kg bombs. It has demonstrated its effectiveness during the fighting in Tunisia, when departures GRII/33 committed to explore and attack the enemy troops."
http://www.airwar.ru/enc/bww2/mb174.html

Since it Franken, we decided that maybe hang two 250 kg bombs. 500 was, and torpedo - it ... for  "IL-2 -1946." ;D

Regards :)

Hello all, I finally got around to removing the guns from the nose of the MB-174.  ;)

I have only done all of the lods in the KAIKO_Nose_D0 at the moment, not sure if I really need to do the KAIKO_Nose_D1
and KAIKO_Nose_D2, what do you think?

I had to remap the skin to the nose which was a real pain, it is still not quite right, however, because the nose has been made see through
it is no big deal:

Hopefully we will have the links updated soon to include the changes, depends on real life issues obviously and time available.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.  ;D

Last bit of tinkering with the 3d is now done, Alex asked me to remove these:

Hopefully it now looks a little better if viewed up close:

Other changes:

I have also added folders to allow the French and Vichy French as defaults, it will show the particular rudders for each
type with the default French skin.

Not entirely sure I did this bit correctly as you need to be in the screen above where you can see the aircraft before it shows.

The second rudder has now also been activated in the java so both work.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Glad you like it so far guys, hopefully it is near enough to the actual type to make it a goer for mission builders. 8)

From a skinning point of view this and the very similar Potez family have some great colour schemes, could keep me and others busy for a while. ;)

Until you get involved in a project like this it is just another name, however, you soon get hooked as you delve deeper into the history of the period.  :)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hi all!  :)

Bloch MB-174 Update ver 3.5 Beta August 11 2014

for 410:

https://www.mediafire.com/?zx1y0092gwvegte

for 412:

https://www.mediafire.com/?v13dh7bpvdgcpbh

Skins for MB-174:

https://www.mediafire.com/download/2n4tdj56o620x8f/Skins_MB-174.7z

Here is reconnaissance version of MB-174 (R or V2), where the bomb bay was installed additional fuel tank and bombs load could be installed

on the external loads.

In this version added: folders to allow the French and Vichy French as defaults, it will show the particular rudders for each

type with the default French skin.

The second rudder has now also been activated in the java so both work.

The gun barrels have now been removed from the nose of the MB-174.

The FM is that of the Ki-45 and so is a placeholder only.

Bombsight does not show scale, reason unkown at the moment.

Same fixes in 3D.

We apologize for the bugs in 3D and DM.

Added in 1-st post.

Enjoy! ;)

Hello guys, just a quick info update:

For those who have not been able to get the mod working in HSFX 7 please try this:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,38980.0.html

If you use one aircraft mod at a time the MB-174 will work quite happily, however, there seems to be some limit as to how many can be added together at the same time into
HSFX 7.

For me it is a single mod, the Potez family or the MB-174, others though have had more success. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
