He walks in first person by everywhere!!!

I added to this version of the Visual MOD the LSO (Landing Signal Oficial) Point of View for Carriers, in an adapted version of its original AG-51 LSO Cam 2.2 for HSFX 6 (Updated 28 Sep 2012)

Hi benitomuso,

Many thankyou's for this incredible job on the walking pilot.The latest version is crashing for me,

This maybe the same thing as Malone was having one time because he mentioned tangle chute in his post and I see it in my log file.

It does seem to happen sometimes when other pilots are bailing out but I can not be sure.Can you please have a look at my log file and maybe tell me what is causing it to crash.

Dinga, yes mate, when i had that problem, it was mostly when AI pilots were bailing out.
i suspect that it was partly due to the fact that this mod also allows to take control of other planes, and maybe something is going wrong when an AI pilot bails out, that the mod 'thinks' it is your pilot. just a rough guess, though....
anyway, i'm sure Pablo will be able to offer some useful advice ;)

I got visual mod v9, and the new Key in Controls to Leave plane is a great improvement !

I use SAS v5.3 (412.2). All is OK. This is some feed back on "Pilot Leave and joins"; done here not to clutter Visual Mod.

Here is the plan ( ! ) : I'm in a Tempest on the ground near Dover, fully armed; but I leave intent to return to it, at the very last.

Part I ( ! ):

I disable Tempest engine off, magneto off ( for good measure ), autopilot off, chucks in; it's on a taxi prog. to wait for 1800minutes !
I leave. Walk to RAF jeep and get in ( Jeep is on 1800 minutes taxi wait too... )
AUTO PILOT is on. Disarm autopilot. A Jeep pursuit follows of a landing Hudson MkIII !
I follow the Hudson till it parks and stop nearby. Cannot leave jeep, it's airborne, but I hear take-off music, not inflight !
I can put on the chucks ! + I stop the engine. Since Leave don't work, I use Control into a Friendly plane.
In Hudson, I must disable auto pilot. Engine is turned on by the joining. ( I have tested returning to Tempest waiting to taxi,
using Control into, not walk into, and found it is very critical to hurry turning auto pilot off and power back to zero , ! ).
All I can say is try it with a large fuel tank straight ahead ( LOL).

Part II ( ! ):

I attack an airfield across the channel with one 88mm and one 37mm to knock out.
At one end of the airfield is a Kupel wagon on taxi wait 1800m. At the other end, a Fi-156 unarmed taxi wait 1800m.
The plan is to land, steal the Fieseler, or steal Kupel to drive to the Fieseler. Ha !   ( never did try that last one ).    Done
If the Hudson is damaged, crash landed, I leave, but If the computer decides to wreck the Hudson ( crash music ), it is
game over: I cant join fieseler, much like when I bailed out; POW.

Part III ( ! ):

I fly Fieseler deeper into France ( somewhat nearby still ), and land on a road to a parked Lysander MkIII.
The trick here is not to nose down as friction takes a toll. I nosed both planes the first time !
Then I take of with the armed Lysander and destroy the Fieseler ! Return to England is planned.
This is when I got greedy ! I attacked some AA vehicles while I was returning to England. Got shot down !

Part IV ( ! ):

Fly the tempest. I never got there. Then again, there will be the autopilot in hi-rev to deal with.
I will try walk into instead.

For those of you who wonder how to select skins: of course select them in FMB.
But you must also select and use the same skin in QBM so it is recorded/set there also.
This is the same problem as choosing your skin in FMB then having to choose it again in briefing/arming.
Since there is no briefing/arming when you join, the choice must already have been made in QBM beforehand !
If you do not select in FMB, the waiting 'plane' will be in default skin until you get in it.

Fun, fun, fun none the less !  8) ( ..a bit of a going in and out orgy . OMG what I'm I saying ? ).

AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!  Thank you for doing this!  I remember asking you a while back and I am glad you did it!

Since you are up for challenges, if you can put a few guns in the pilot hands, like infantry gun, or allow some control of current ground objects like vehicles and their guns without having to create a new "airplane model" for every vehicle, that would also be outstanding.

The idea would be to be able to get close to a vehicle, then press a combination of keys to "enter it", which could be a overhead view or semy first person view... controls would be simple, (forward, turn, backwards/break), and if it has a gun, maybe a simple re-use of a reticle only...  it would be hard to program but you are one of the most innovative programmers here, so I figure I'd ask.

Hey, it is... wait for it... Legendary!!  Thank you for this mod.

I enjoy this mod, but am having the same problem others experienced here... whenever there is a bailout situation (me or AI, the game freezes).  Has anyone found a solution for that?  The last part of the log is the same as everyone else's log:

Are you using last version of the Visual MOD V9?

I think it was solved. I have a newer version of the Visual MOD V9 that I had never published. I'm going to post the last one. But I really don't have time (neither will) to fully debug and find solutions to all of these things.

Hello! Dear colleague Pablo
Please help. IL-2 4.12.2 + SAS MOD v.5.3_+_C.U.P._ +_WAW +00_VisualMOD8-v4122. Aircraft at the airport. After clicking “Leave Plane pilot jumps out of the cab, runs away from the plane and stops.
Question-1: How to force the pilot to go, forward - backward, left - right? On movement of the joystick doesn't respond.
Question-2: is it Possible to control the movements of the pilot to assign the buttons on the keyboard?
For control the plane I have  two joystick: joystick-1 pedals, joystick-2 roll - pitch.
Sorry for my English.
