Random playback of music
« on: August 29, 2014, 11:45:56 AM »

If you use Inflight music and Takeoff music, you will know that when a mission starts, the sound files in these folders are always played back starting with the first file in the folder and then in file sequence (alphabetically/numerically depending on how you named your files).

This mod creates some random element to the playback, so you should get a random first file at the start of each mission and then random choice after that. Obviously, the more files you have, the more random it will appear to be. It is truly random so the same file may be picked more than once during a flight (but not sequentially).

The random playback also works on radio stations if they are present in the mission  8)

Created in 4.12 but worth trying for other versions and I don't know of any other mods that address these classes.

***EDIT confirmed as working in 410 & 411***

Super. Just discover this gem: I have been years without listening to music anymore, cause every time it was always the same sequence of songs;,
everytime  I changed radio station, it  would start over again at the very beginning of a sequence ( ...multi stations... ).
Songs  I never heard in years are just being selected now, at last!  :P

My setup 412 sas5,3, the English channel 40-41 map with beacons, BBC, Paris, and "Groshdeucther-something"...

I can select a new song just switching back into the same station again. Thanks you sir. Works extremely well !   :D
Best of all, I din't have to change anything with my stuff...  8)
Very immersive! ...and so simple to implement !
