Eurofighter Typhoon
« on: September 12, 2014, 08:15:41 AM »

Good evening!
I am quite aware that the Eurofighter is insanely advanced with its many systems and it may take quite long until it can even be considered to be modded, but anyway, here comes my first request! :D
I recently read the whole wikipedia article about that aircraft, and was kind of stunned at that list of systems and capabilities it has. But reading about its capabilities made me immediately want to fly it!

Also, I did not find any previous requests on the Eurofighter, please be patient with me if I have simply overseen an already existing one.

EDIT: I completely forgot about the Cockpit!

For now it is still beyond IL-2's capabilities.

I'd rather see it in Lock-On/DCS, where it would have real opponents, than in IL2 !  :P
Or maybe with the F/A 18, in a sort of crazy "What-if" !

I know it is still far beyond IL-2's capabilities, and I don't expect anyone to immediately pick up work on it as it would be super unrealistic ;) Still I wanted to do that request because I think it is a magnificient machine. I dont even  mind if I still have to wait like, 5 years for the Eurofighter to be in IL-2, I am patient :)
And I am sorry for not including pictures of the Spanish Airforce Eurofighter, I didn't mean to insult you!

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a European twin-engine, canard delta wing, multirole fighter. The Typhoon was designed originally as an air superiority fighter[5] and is manufactured by a consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo that conducts the majority of the project through a joint holding company, Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH. The NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency, representing the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain manages the project and is the prime customer.

The aircraft's development effectively began in 1983 with the Future European Fighter Aircraft programme, a multinational collaboration among the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Previously, Germany, Italy and the UK had jointly developed and deployed the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft and desired to collaborate on a new project, with additional participating EU nations. However disagreements over design authority and operational requirements led France to leave the consortium to develop the Dassault Rafale independently. A technology demonstration aircraft, the British Aerospace EAP, first flew on 6 August 1986; the first prototype of the finalised Eurofighter made its first flight on 27 March 1994. The aircraft's name, Typhoon, was adopted in September 1998 and the first production contracts were also signed that year.

This is such a amazing modern plane, it would be very nice to have it flying on IL-2 Sturmovik:1946 (In my opinion). ;D

This is not because I support this request, as I think enough has been said already, but just “Bumped “ for anyone who could not find the original request... :) :)

Theres some for fsx that a modder can try to take a stab at. This one is for fsx but not sure if feasible to convert.
