I have some resolution problems with my new Laptop.
My game Version: il2 1946 4.11 DWB 1.71 with some another mods.
On my last Laptop (i5, nvidia555m, 8gb RAM) the game run very well with 1366x768 resolution.
After I have killed my old laptop with an energy drink  I have bought new one with i7, nvidia 840m, 8gb RAM with hd screen 1920x1080.
After I have changed the Resolution in config.ini, the game start but the screen is increased, so I can't seen the left Corner and the bottom area.


Have someone an idea how I can fix it?

Few tips as for the first poster:

1st
WHile my rig is OLD as well and I cannot afford a new one it is fair to nevertheless say Laptops are not the perfect choice for any flight sim AFAIK.

I do know there are some with much power etc, but if you can afford, go for a dedicated rig for gaming...IMHO.


As for config ini:


TexFlags.DrawLandByTriangles=0 is an option I would try.


TexCompress=0


makes sense with

TexFlags.TexCompressARBExt=0 like vpmedia said.

Forest=3
Are also advanced options.

Effects=2 IMHO is crap if you have a weak PC, I never use it as normal effects on some installs already bring my PC to its knees.
