Thank you very much Epervier. ;)

Well I have already solved the problem of the cockpit of the I-16 in the DBW version, now comes another question, I have seen that the new 3d model works in this version with some minimal changes, I have also made the improvement on the old 3d model, so I leave them both and each decide which you want to use. :)

This Mod of I-16 DBW is tested with 4.10.1 and UP3, the textures are those that come with this version.

DOWNLOAD DBW OLD MODEL 3D

DOWNLOAD DBW NEW MODEL 3D

Enjoy. ;)

P.S.
Someone mentioned issues with the F6F series, I took the freedom to upload the mod I use, I applied some cockpit reflections and the mod from here as well:

If in doubt, merge it with the last version posted by Jeronimo, IIRC I had added the "balls". ;)

To derail this valuable thread a last time, and since I spent quite some time researching for this pit for Jero and cromhunt, I add a stand in mod here for the crazyflak F-80 mod, a pit with my interpretation of the mirror position and all files with hier.hims etc.

Optimum would be if someone also uploaded the HSFX F-80 hier.him, for the mirror, and also the HSFX mirror tga and mat/mesh files.

Cheers

Reflection is my interpretation, former F4U one IIRC, Jero's in as backup.

The real mirror, and I found only one shot for the F-80 inside and outside, was here:

For the T-33s, a totally different story, different coloured pit for some versions (grey) and more red on the sides. Also mirrors, if there, on sides rather.

In any case, no mirror was mounted on the canopy sliding part, but the front arc.

The seats where not green but red on most shots, so my default Freddy pit seat included here (credit to Freddy) is correct.

Got some 100+ photos. :P

Not me, right now, but, again, what a job! Looks like a miracle, those curves, after decades of "corners"! ;D

I can live with that.  :)
When flying 'Red' I will select the SeaGladiator for some fresh air and feeling the wind blow through my hair.   :D

For my feeling this is the best cockpit ever done in default IL2. Together with the Typhoon and I-250 by the way.
The quality is so much higher than many other pits. Don't know who the creators are but hats off.

@PA_Jeronimo
Nice work, thank you! 8) But ... in fact, visor the cockpit canopy of similar shape (rounded top) ...
Yak-1-3-7 & 9

AFTER

... was only the Yak-1:

On all other Yak (including Yak-1B) visor the cockpit canopy had another, trapezoidal, shape:

Similar to such as the Yak-9U(T) in game:

Whether it is possible to fix something? :-\ Thx.

Hi DeSad,

I'm not an expert on this subject and only I've limited to soften such models as they came in the Sim, but now looking at some pages I can see some examples,

This is a Yak-3 if you observe will check that no crossbar, there is as it is in the sim.

The Yak-7

The Yak-1B appears as you said, as the Yak-9U

http://waralbum.ru/87258/

In the Yak-9 again you have reason.

It could be modified, only it would be to Exchange that area in the 3d models and ready.

I'm not an expert on this subject ...
Me too ;D

This is a Yak-3 if you observe will check that no crossbar, there is as it is in the sim.
I, of course, had in mind only the Yak, which has visor the cockpit canopy. Since the Yak-3 it is not, I haven't mentioned it specifically. I apologize for the fact that inadvertently you astray :-[

The Yak-7 ...
Oh, I forgot all about the Yak-7 ... probably because he was not one of my favorites :-\ It visor the cockpit canopy indeed the same as that of the Yak-1. And this is natural, because Yak-7 - is the modernization of UTI-26, trainer version of the Yak-1.

It could be modified, only it would be to Exchange that area in the 3d models and ready.
This is great! 8) Thanks!
