Hey everyone its Black Ace again!

I was searching through Asisbiz, and I was looking for side profiles of aircraft I have in IL2 as I soon plan to start skinning the Dora myself next year. (Yes I will be joining the world of skinning after 8 years of playing). $:-\$

Anyway, I found this, Black 4 of what appears to be of JG/6, Werk Nummer 21707. Now as well as requesting a skin of this baby I want to know if this aircraft was just a concept art or unless it really did serve with the Reichsvertidifliegergung in 1944/45. As far as I know this particular Dora has NOT been skinned!

I searched the net and I couldn't dig up anything about her. I found a Black 4 but it was the same one I covered from JG/2 in the lounge. I found another Black 4 but this time belonging to JG/26 which has been beautifully skinned by Phas3e in the past in his Langernasen set a few years ago.

There will be a picture of her attached and tell me what you think guys.

What you have there is a fictional scheme..well semi fictional at least.

That week number doesn't exist as is, it one digit short, there was no 217xxx and the closest is 211xxx
There was a 'Black 4' <-4+- 211164 with Stab/Jg6 and 4+- 211939 with 6./Jg6 neither of them had and RVD bands.

Hope that helps some its the best I can do from bed with a tablet :p

Well I can say looking at it now it is a fake. But its bloody good I must say, I guess I will have to request an aircraft that DID serve. I have one in mind but I will probably try it myself next year.

Thanks for pointing it out Phas3e...I feel bad that I have flogged a pink elephant at everyone now.

Could be a incomplete werk number. Some artists go by " if it isn't there, it's not.going on the plane ". But that "7" is a stumper.

Not that it may not have happened but there is no evidence of Jg6 using any RVD bands and also III gruppe flew 109s and never converted to 190D's
