Hm... did I really miss that?
Alright, here is UP3.4 Server: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/3iy3iahavfb7z/Ultrapack_3.4_''Cassie''_Server_Update
After that, install Patch 2 for Server on top: https://www.mediafire.com/file/zj2rgd9jry4ypad/Ultrapack_3.4_Server_Patch_2.rar/file
Finally, grab the contents from the "#UP#" folder of the latest Hotfix and throw them in your Server's one.

Sorry for the fiddling but Server Operators are supposed to deal with that :P

Hello  :)

Did I do something wrong? It seems I cannot combine these files for extracting them. All eight of them are in the same directory yet they can only be extracted individually.

In order to open a split rar archive, you don't have to add all parts to another 7zip container, but instead you just open part1 in 7zip:

I see now, thanks.

I am trying to understand what I am missing, because I started from 4.0.8 > 4.0.9. > 4.10 > 4.10.1,
then Ultrapack Server 3.4 > Server Patch 2 > Hotfix 17 #UP# > IL-2_Selector_4.0.2_Server. Yet running il2fb.exe for the server gives dozens of exceptions. I ended up copying these up_ SFS files from the client install since it keeps complaining they are missing:
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Server runs fine after I copy them over, but loading this non-stock missions seems to throw some more:
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

It also lets me load this other non-stock mission and connect/play it, but the server crashes without anything I can recognize in logs.lst after 5-10 minutes on whatever mission I try. A memory leak?

No worries, we'll get you through this together.
The installation order for UP3 Server is <stock version order> ... -> 4.10.1 -> UP3 RC4 Server -> UP 3.4 -> Patch 2 -> latest Hotfix.
The UP3 RC4 Server step seems to be missing in your case.

Ok, from 4.10.1 I added the UP_3.0RC4_DFServer Patch to the order, and noticed it gives these .sfs files:

I continued with Ultrapack Server 3.4.part1-8, then Ultrapack 3.4 Server Patch 2, and finally the contents of #UP#\STD from hotfix 17 into the servers #UP#\STD.

These exceptions continue  :(

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Full logs.lst here:
https://pastebin.com/K8nCdjLB

It complains about the missing up__.sfs and others that I could only find in the client install, is there something else I am missing?

Ok, from 4.10.1 I added the UP_3.0RC4_DFServer Patch to the order
...which is fine, but it's still missing UP3 itself and the RC1 Server Patch.

The order is:
...
4.10.1
UP3RC (Client and Server use the same pack here) -> see here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,15966.0.html
UP3 Server Patches (RC1 and RC4, both are requited) -> see here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43594.0.html
UP3.4 Update for UP3 and DBW -> see here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43594.msg765234.html#msg765234
UP 3.4 Patch 2 -> see here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43594.msg765234.html#msg765234
Latest Hotfix (right below Patch 2)

So from what I'm starting to understand is that there are multiple ways to get a dedicated server running Ultrapack?

Starting from 4.10.1m I followed the previous instructions

  • UP3RC
  • UPRC1
  • UPRC4
  • 3.4 UP for UP3 and DBW
  • 3.4 UP Patch 2 (il2fb.exe had to be replaced from IL-2 Selector 4.0.2)
  • 3.4 UP Hotfix 17

Attempted to connect to the server and it said "Server uses a different version of the game (4.10.1m)". I made a video just to make sure I'm not insane  :(

Was I to really skip these files that I used previously, for the client ones?

Oh indeed you're right, my mistake.
You need to install the server update for Cassie and Patch 2, not the client ones.
Post updated, sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for clarifying  :)
I got the install in order then.

Any other reason why missions using Ultrapack maps/assets cause it to crash at random times? My logs.lst never produces anything right before crash.

I've ran the same mission and one time I managed 2 hour 20 minutes, another time only 20 minutes before a crash.  I ran some stock 1946 missions and had no issues with them after a few hours on the Ultrapack server.

Looks odd.
Please give the attached file a try.
Just extract the zip and drop the extracted file "EEBBE344D2C2A05A" (no extension) into the "#UP#" folder.

Added that to the #UP# folder, but still crashing silently at random times.  :(

Is there any way to get more verbose logging or some easier way of identifying the issue? I have put up some of these same missions that crash, with everything removed but home bases, and the server stays up no issue. So I think its not map related but something placed in the mission?
