It's not the size of the wand that matters. It's the quality of the magic it performs.

You're very welcome Gaston.  :)

No movie but may have been interesting if it was.  ;D

Here's a little info on it. 'Operation Snowball' took place on February 8th 1950. John Cunningham carried a pair of skis attached on top of the tail booms. For the delivery flight, J-1048 had the title 'Operation Snowball' painted on the engine cowling. A total of 75 DH-100 Mk.6 Vampires were flown into Switzerland serialled J-1005 - J-1079.

Cheer's,

Oh, I understand... that reminds me of an old ski fabric, here in Switzerland... they were made in a locality called Bière, not far from where I live... they had a ski model called... "Vampire" ! And the plane was their logo !

A book about the company's history :

Some advertisement of an old era :

An example :

Unfortunately, the company bankrupted in the '90s...

Interesting, no ?

That is really interesting Gaston.

Amazing how one incident like that can cause a company to incorporated it into it's product line. If I had that picture of the ski's earlier I could have used it in the skin for this aircraft. ;)

Thanks again for sharing that info Gaston. Made my day  :)

Cheers,
Ed
