As far as I know, Klaus already has finished all the cities. Now it`s only the roads and railroads that have to be completed, so I expect the map to be ready in the not so far future. Also Klaus will provide some pictures within the next days as he told me.

As for the airfields I do hope that I gave Klaus all the relevant information. I did use the airfield locations from google earth (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,40399.0.html), and looked up and located all the German airfields in this sector in the Lexikon der Wehrmacht. As for the russian airfields I had only the information from google earth, but when someone can come up with other sources, he`s very much welcome.

Cheers

Here is a first glimpse of the ingame map. The names of the towns are written in blue
... no full quotes with pics please!

That is an absolutely HUGE map. It covers all of Armeegruppe Nord and some of Armeegruppe Mittel!

Mandrill, this was exactly the intention of the project. Our plan was to provide a map that could be used for all operations of JG 54 (and I./JG 51 which was attached to JG 54 for quite a long time).

While the first group (I./JG 54) mainly stayed in the very north (Gatchina/Krasnogvardeisk, Siverskaya), the other groups were shifted around to help containing the russian offensives which aimed mostly at the conjunction of Army Group North and Center (the area south of Lake Ilmen to Beliy and Rzhev.).

Also the front line was quite static, so this map can be used for the period 11/1941 to beginning of 1944.

Here is a picture of the approximate frontline of mid 1942 - mid 1943. It`s by hand, so don`t expect it to be 100% accurate. Encircled are some of the hot spots of the fighting (Volkhov, Luga in 1941, Demyansk, Kholm, Velikiye Luki, Rzhev)

Klaus, many many thanks for the Kremlin in Novgorod. Also Gatchina finally looks like the summer residence of the Tsar (quite contrary in the stock map where it is an industrial city). Now I`m really interested in seeing Staraya Russa.
