Are you part of a flight or solo? If the spacing between your planes is too small your wings touch and BOOM...

Another problem with the new version in my mission is that it has it's gear up when the mission starts.

I have both installed and rename the extra Tu-95 folder so I can go back and forth between the two, old and new. If I select the old version all is well, plane starts in mission with gear down, no explosion, if I select the new plane it starts with gear up and then explosion.

Actually I am not really sure the gear is up or down because the plane is sunk into the ground up to the fuselage bottom.

Has anyone tried making a taxi to takeoff mission test with this new version yet?

I told you testing air start and QMB scramble.
Why not?

yes. Works OK.

A look into the logfile would help us.

Read how to do this here:

Hi Gerax, thanks your support.

About "Instant log output" , second link you put,
here is the topic about Tu-95 v2 only for 4.12.2m game, so SASModAct5.3 for 4.12.2m contains its function from the first and as Storebror wrote at the topic , NOT TO install single Instant log output MOD onto 4.12.2m based SASModAct5.3.

In this point, your advise sometimes makes a little confusing.

Here it is in qmb scramble, better but still sinking into ground a bit.

Storebror wrote at the topic , NOT TO install
Yes, he wrote this in big red letters.  ;D

I do not think so. Members find the instructions wich config.ini lines
are necessary to have instant.log working in the thread I linked.
But they will not find this in the MA5.30 thread.  ;)

Wrong, it should not sink into the ground at all, the original one did not so why should the new one?

The "a-bit sinking" - it's called "suspension". The hook (point determining collision with surface) has it modelled, but it does not affect the mesh of gear leg.

So that's it.

This is very annoying. Will it be fixed ?
Other planes have also suspension, but their wheels do not sink in the ground, for example MiG-17 .

I think nothing changed from version 1 about its suspention msh and Hook 3D or its animation Java code.
If why version 2's wheels are sinking? My thought is weight values written in its flightmodel.

V1's flightmodel was only a temporary one and far far from historical.
Empty weight was 23,815kg and Take-off weight was 56,250kg, instead of historical values are Empty 84,300kg and Take-off 175,000kg.
Nearly Quarter!
In this effect, V1 can use only 700m runway in its taking-off with full-bomb-fuel loadout. It was a funny, fantasy scene.

I wrote historical values in V2's flightmodel, and it makes historical runway use and other historical flight charactaristics, I think.
In IL-2 1946, any aircraft has such 175,000kg weight!
It .... and nothing touch on 3D or animation Java code .... may make wheels sinking.
Now I don't have a correct idea how change the Java code to recover the sinking (or is it impossible in only Java coding?).
Someone can help us?

I think that the realistic FM is a good tradeoff for the suspension.

If I may ask a question, although the radar nose Tu-95 (beta) was left in favor of the glass nose type, is there any chance of a future update with the Tu-95MS?

Thanks again for your time!
