Here's a trick that I did with western patch that work for me:

1/Do not overide the original !SAS_Engine_Mod with western mod.
2/Extract !SAS_Engine_Mod from Western patch and renamed it as !!SAS_Engine_Mod.
3/Copy the newly named !!SAS_Engine_Mod into your mod folder (#SAS). Now you should have 2 folders: !SAS_Engine_Mod AND !!SAS_Engine_Mod

I don't know why but overiding doesn't work for me. So I personally have to create 2 different folder and make sure that Western patch load first.

Bizarrely enough, although that setup works fine in another modact game, it CTDs at 20% in the game I have the F-18 activated in.

"TypeBayDoor" is older style (4.10.1m time?) MOD aircraft.
4.12.2m + SASModAct5.30 doesn't support it.
Please ask the aircraft's MOD author to remake/update its classfiles to fit 4.12.2m.

Just to clarify....

I think YES.

Without F/A-18C/D & AV-8B+, without SAS Engine MOD 2.7 western-patch, without SAS Engine MOD 2.7, without 1956 JetEra, ..... Ka_52 would not work on 4.12.2m + SAS Modact5.30.

Ugh, this makes no sense.

On to test, I guess.....

On a semi-related note, I trashed two of my three Modact installs and created one just for testing mods.

F-18 and AV-8 is no. 1 on that test list.

When a mission is loading, i get an error message :Null, and its just the planes nopt the game itself because all other planes work, also i tried it in multiplayer and the plane shows up but in the ocean, and there is no effects after that, i cant even go to menu once its loading. I've installed everything that was required, so what am i doing wrong?

I don't know what went wrong but since the last update I cannot get into the harrier.

I redownloaded every single file, including the engine mods but it doesn't work.

Because you didn't delete all the old folders and replace it with the new one.  This is empirical, because the new version WILL conflict with the old one if you left it there. The download now consist of 3 folders:

classfile folder (java, FM): !!!!_US_Marine_Aviation_Java_Pack

Content folder (3d, textures, effects): !!!!_US_Marine_Aviation_Pack

and weapon: #_MordernWeapon

You'll need both 3 in order to work properly.
