I was wondering if anyone had a Korean War Corsair template they might share. I have Casey1976's new A/D template and would also like to find the newer Corsairs template, if it is available.

Hey Grant...funny that you should mention that! I'm planning on reworking the template for the C version, as well as the F4U-4 & 4B. Have some things to finish up first, but I should be getting to the Corsair very soon.

Excellent news!! I already have two skins from your template. One for WW2 PTO and one for Korea, hence the search for the -4 series.

Hi Grant...I was looking at the .tga for the F4U-4B, the default skin, and it looks like somebody did make the conversion from my old v2 template. I'd be curious to take a look at that template and use it as a road map for converting v3 to fit the later models, rather than use the .tga...which is at 512 X 512. It looks like the skinner's name is Starfighter...something or other, and that mine, FBS & Phas3e credits were pulled off...something that I requested NOT be done  . Oh well...I know my work when I see it and I must have done something right if somebody felt compelled to take credit for my work. I'd be okay with this if it just had a mention of 'Based on Casey's F4U'...but there's nothing about me anywhere on the template that I can make out. Take a look:


In any case, if a version of "his" template is available, I'd very much like to take a look at it for the 4 & 4B models. Hopefully, he or she is still active in the community and can be reached. If not, I'll just use this texture as a guide...perhaps I'll even mention him in the credits someplace, 'cause that's the kind of guy I am

Yeah, I was looking at that .tga also. Thought of trying the same thing you mentioned about using it as a guide, but I SUCK at making those smoke stains. Just can't seem to get the "flow" quite right.
