 :(      :-X      :-\\      :(

It is certainly exciting to download new maps, and open files with spectacular scenery ... then the problems begin .. at least 50% of downloaded maps do not open or not saved to start a flight !! I know there are programs to find out what is missing in the objects used, but despite having downloaded everything always missing something in my SAS 5.3 Il-2 4.12.2 .. often mysterious or difficult to retrieve ... in the end almost always resign myself and gate map. I've always wondered if it is so difficult to overcome this limitation and allow a map to be used without some object that maybe are actually quite marginal in the overall project ... I'm not certainly be able to find a system but maybe someone an idea had it ...

You got three options in 4.12 SAS modact:
1. adopting the DBW sfs files and static.ini + all.ini (if you feel confident in your modding skills and have a previous DBW install)
2. installing Boomers object pack (smallest download size ~2Gb)
3. installing the maps part of TFM-412

Probably in a few weeks CFM will be the fourth option.

Thanks for the answer dear vpmedia, I have all the  Boomers objects pack installed, plus I have hundreds and hundreds of others ... but this did not prevent the problem, is that I wanted to stay on the SAS mod without the limitations of the patch UP or DBW or HSFX , so to speak ... I was hoping for a simple little program for opening maps even if there are missing objects .. but maybe the problem is insoluble! Thanks anyway.

PS. What is the TFM-412 ??

Dont give up yet. First you can try the static ini checker or when you try to load a map and it wont, it will show a blue screen. Hit shift+tab and it will tell you at the bottom what your missing. Post what your missing and someone should have the object.

Hi stanislao. When I encounter this problem with new maps, and its seems to be as often as you, I open it with my map making version of IL2, and rewrite the actors.ini, then cut and paste and problem solved. The only pity is I miss out on a lot of the finer details these guys put into their maps. So I sit and wait patiently for CFM as I don't see why downloading 2gb of objects is viable when soon CFM will be available.
