Is true that the Heinkel HeS011 appear as the instaled engine in the "in game" encyclopedia. IIRC the devs found that the tail will not be able to resist speeds over 700 km/h so they tunned the tail and plane somehow, so not sure the "projected" specifications you tried were even feasible.

I am aware of this, though I would like to know more regarding these findings, if this has been corroborated by various entities, etc.. Were new studies performed by Oleg and company or the post WW2 Soviet findings used alone? Design brilliance is achieving a solution which many deem impossible, so how the tail might have been strengthened, whether with the massive heavy 'fix' of the ubisoft developers, or another method is to me an open question pending further review. There's no doubt as to the outcome of the present 'fix' -  an under powered aircraft. Like slinging a 500 lb. bomb on a P-51, permanently - time for real fun, huh?

In either case, the aircraft I referenced did not incorporate tail fixes, it was factored as specified by the designers projections, and I am therefore referring to what they had in mind, and it was awesome indeed.

One could say that the FMA IAe 33 Pulqui II proved that the t-tail design works, however that extended tail from the upper side of the engine might have been impossible to strengthen sufficiently with the then-available alloy left for the germans.

Hard to tell... after all, we're talking about design studies only.
As for other "what if" aircraft, I'd either treat it as it was hoped to be (that'd be the 1000 km/h capable Design II) or just leave it aside.

Best regards - Mike

I've found pics of this cool japanese "what if" version. Using the japanese build Heinkel He011S engine, but different wings and tail.

The author specify this about FM:

The new type proved to be an immediate success. The Ki-202 Kai had a very good rate of climb, the short wings, coupled with a center-heavy CG due to the compact "pod and boom" layout, offered a very high manouverybility that was on par with contemporary Allied piston-engined fighters. As a bonus, its small size made the 'Goryo' a target which was hard to acquire or hit.

What do you think about speed? MAybe reduced cause by the new wings?
