One of the things I always do is start with a set of words that relate to the subject.

So flight, wings, war, air,  etc.

Then I bin any that are linked to existing games, wings has been used by a lot of games so it goes, knights .. no good .. that usually thins out the options a lot.

It's the creative bit after that which usually requires beer.
