Say Matz,
For what it is worth
Disable the log file generation in your conf.ini i.e.  LOG=0

I believe the errors are still there.  Constant reloads of FM's -  Multiple objects missing- repeated hundreds of times - Loads of ship errors.  Some smoke effects not found.

No doubt the CUP Gods :) will be fixing this as time goes on.  I am just not smart enough to do it myself.  :

I had a test Mission tonight and flew over a Jap harbor that was full of ships and stuff and lots of AI planes in the area too.
When I flew this with LOG=1 the log was 27MB big and frame rates dropped to below 0 ?
I have EVGA GTX-970 SSC. – Intel  i7 930 quad processor -12 gig Ram - 512 Samsung SSD
It just flat out stopped.

Flew the same mission with log set to LOG=0 and had constant 30 frames throughout.
Give it a try and see if it makes it better for you too.

I know this is not a fix - but it means I can fly and enjoy this excellent Sim once again.

Hey sir rod,

Any chance you could share that mission that generated the big log file?

You could use pastebin.

A big huge fat congratulations to the team on this pack.  It's clearly been a long time in coming with a lot of work and effort spent, which clearly shows in the quality of the product.

Well done gents!  You are a credit to this game and the fact that it's still actively played and modified after all these years.

Moezilla
I was an on-line mission put up by PD for the Boys of 60.
Not sure I can get a copy - but will ask.

Just a guess, but it's probably because it's a multiplayer issue. CUP and most everything else on this site is intended for offliners. It's to be expected that there would be issues with multiplayer.

To Rod and Dpeters...
Thanks for the help and info provided! Now my CUP installation works fine.
Sorry for the late answer but I was away for some days.

Take the point Cloyd,

but I have to say this CUP Mod of IL2 is a work of art and we who fly online together just love it.
Of cause there are a few issues with some things. However it is nice to hear from others who have the same problems and how they got round them or just moved on.

With regard to some things seen in the error log - It would be really nice to just understand what is happening - so maybe we could try to find a solution or workaround - which we could share.
I know that PD and the Boys of 60 are just thrilled with this latest Mod with all its content the team have put into it.
It takes IL2 to a new level and it just keeps getting better.
I fly Off line and On line and still marvel at all the content and the talent of Monty and the team of really smart folks that made this possible. Kudos to you Gents  .
I am eternally grateful for the considerable effort you have put in.  ~Salute.

Could you please  release an onliners CUP ?

Playing offline ( against AIs ) has few to do with a flight sim...

I suggest you wait for - and try - some upcoming campaigns tailored to CUP before you pass your sweeping judgements.

Barkhorn:

I do feel your frustration. I'm was and still am, a great Wings Over Vietnam rat and it was tough to see multiplayer fall to the wayside.  There is no better test of your skills when flying on line.  That being said.  All has to be equal.  Unfourtunately,  Since the sim is "open" now to modding, it isn't always that way.  CUP has so many add-ons and I'm sure within an hour of it coming out, people have added their own mods to it.  This CUP group seems to be a very good group.  In the mean time you can always start your own server on HL and just stop by here and post it.  I would use a clean install of the CUP though, none of your own added mods.  If know one joins, give me a call, I'll fly with ya:) :)  I will say this, everyday I seem to find something new in the CUP install and that has greatly occupied my time.  I'm haveing a great deal of fun with the offline stuff.  Maybe the admins can make a dedicated thread to online play, just to post when someone is hosting.
