Good evening Griffon,
thank you for your suggestion but I am still puzzled because:
-there are three versions of La Chute summer and winter: HSFX, UP2.1 and UP3RC4.
-there is no tex file in CUP WAW: WAW/MAPMODS/MAPS but no tex
-there is a tex file in CUP SAS: SAS/MAPMODS/MAPS/tex/Water/PacificBlueTL.tga. I removed the TL without success.
Before using CUP I used SAS 4.12.2 plus modact 5.3. Adding a map was simple and there was a tool to find the missing actors (static ini checker)
I really don't know how and where I have to install the La Chute summer and winter maps.
Could you be so kind as to explain it just like a recipe?
Best regards

since they are part of CUP - WaW just a quick heads-up to fans of the P51-B's, i fixed a small bug (engine effects), posted it over at the thread for these planes:

reload WAW
« Reply #1394 on: May 06, 2015, 12:49:27 PM »

I recently downloaded and added WAW_1st adder and 2nd adder and everything was fine. However when I added 3rd adder the program stopped at 70%. On the basis that problems can be resolved by reinstalling WAW, I deleted the existing WAW from CUP and reininstalled it, only to have the same problem. As I reinstalled WAW I was asked several times if I wanted to replace certain files with similar ones that suggested to me that my 'deletions' had not been complete.

I can still get DOF and JTW so the whole program isn't fouled up.

I'm not sure how to add my log for this latest attempt to fly WAW.

Any help welcomed!

Gremlin please do not understand me wrong, but it might be the best idea to make yourself comfortable with how to add mods, which crashes can occur and how to fix them before you take a perfectly working game, throw a few mods into it and then wonder why it does not work.....
also, you might want to read the forum rules regarding posting error messages again, especially the part about posting log files and how to get them in the first place...

Griffon_301 thanks for your answer as I said any help welcomed - things have moved on a bit since the 1970's when I flew my first computer sims! I can see now how to include logs but is this from init.log or logfile? If it's the latter, is only the last part required rather than the mass of statistics?

Trust me..i started with Falcon and Battlehawks so I consider myself a little bit of a dinosaur when it comes to sims too...
what I wanted to say is please try to get to grips with the basics of modding..
there are good tutorials on this site about the various % crashes and how to fix them
also do not throw new stuff into a modpack if you know next to nothing about the correlation of adding stuff and the necessary ini entries to make them work
all this is basic stuff..just adding things because they might look good or interesting then crashing the game in the process and expecting the community to solve each and every problem is the wrong way...

read here wich kind of log we need and how to get it:

read here: what is important in this log and how to post it then (code):

and (if necessary, not in this case) how to do the instant log:

I think I'm lost, patience please.

First things first, clean IL-2 install.

Then goes the 4.12.2 megapatch, after that the SAS 5.3 modact. So far so good, I install the Module 1 file, then Dawn of Flight, World at War and Jet Age. Yet, in the IL2 selector I get nothing but SAS Modact, DBW and DBW 1916, UP3 or later but nothing about CUP.

All CUP files have been extracted to IL2 root directory, the SFS files have their own folder and everything seems to be in order, but it doesn't even let me select which module I want to play.

This simple thing is driving me insane !

Hi decipher, just checked and the folder in  #WAW/MAPMODS/Map is named Rabaul_beta and Pacific_Rabaul_betaBlueScramble00 gives as first line: [MAIN] MAP Rabaul_beta/load.ini

Is there really a map called "Rabaul_beta"?  I can't seem to find it in the folder mentioned.  When I try to bring it up in FMB I get crashed back to the desktop.  Any advice for one of us old and dumb ones?  Thanks.
