Rod, if you look at his first post, Page 79, Reply #936, I believed he was referring to the menu picture (P-47 in hanger).  I didn't believe he really meant the loading screens.  If he did, then yes, they should randomly change but that Menu background picture is the same no matter what module that I load...

I get different menu screens as well for each of the 3 new eras of flight.    The  Spit and the P47 were from TFM and as such are in the SAS ModAct 5.30 now.

Do you not see these screens?

Oh, no I don't!  So I stand corrected.  I always see that Mod Act screen.  Now I'm upset! <grin>

Well, I noticed you had the "SaveAspect=0" and I had it set to "1".  I changed it to "0" and there they were!  Thanks Rod.  Now I wonder what else you see that I don't    :D :P  ;)

To those of you interested :D

One of my greatest mysteries of IL2 has been solved.  It only took me, what?  Six years :D :D

Have you ever noticed that sometimes when the autopilot is selected and you switch to outside view than back to cockpit view, the autopilot will sometimes turn off or sometimes stay engaged.  I use to think this was version specific or there to just drive me crazy.  Well it's not.

I always wondered what the purpose of  the "Toggle level Autopilot" command was for.  It never seem to do anyting.  It sure didn't level the autopilot for me.  "level Stabilizor" did that.   Well now I know!!  It controls whether or not the autopilot stays on when switching view from outside back to inside.  Unbelievable:))

Default key mapping is "Shift+A"

Hit "Shift+A"   HUD screen says "Autopilot Automation  Off" >>>>>> Autopilot will stay engaged when switching views
Hit "Shift+A"   HUD screen says "Autopilot Automation  ON  >>>>>> Autopilot will NOT stay engaged when switching views.

Should be:

Hit "Shift+A"  HUD screen says "Creature, your a dumbass"   :P :P

Up and running after several failed attempts.......that's what makes victory sooo sweet!! Have only added one little touch at this time. I added the 412 Menu xx mod from Monty's "Next Level"....thought he did a good job on his selection of music...one more thank you to you Monty and the crew that helped you and another thank you to all the guys posting help and solutions to some of the bumps in the road.

Spitfire-MKIX.  Do you have water=4 mod enabled?  If so, try deactivating it and see if you can load the maps. I think it may then work. A few people are having problems with this. Of course it may be something different in your case but it is worth a try.

To Spitfire-MKIX: Sorry this idea did not work. The only other thing I tried was to delete the last.quick file and try with the standard QMB with no mods activated. If that works then try Mission Pro Combo activated and see if that works and the maps load. The only way I could get the water=4 mod to work was to use a conf file from the previous TFM for 4.12, after having backed up the existing conf file.

Anyway I do wish you success with getting it working.

This fixed missing dead winter 88mm for me.

Dead_256.tga is from UP_Objects01.sfs so credit to the UP team.

Un-7zip to your JSGMEMODS directory and enable #CUP_ObjectFixes with JSGME.exe.

Yes, this one fixed it for me too. But... it is 3 times the bitmap in the different module folder. Is this neccesary?

Hi all,
waw crash at 70%...

is that from the correct logfile? it looks like it might be from some other log, i dont see any of that in my logfile... and i said logfile too many times now. haha. sorry. hmm. but seriously my logfile looks completely different, you can rename the error logfile in the conf.ini to anything you want to prevent confusion, since there are some other logfiles in the main il-2 folder

you can see that there is an R3R6 Rüstsatz which might be what you are looking for;

a lot of older mission might not work in CUP because of differently named aircraft or loadouts or whatever!
first check the ini files before claiming something as missing;

I am currently adapting Poltava´s MB-152 campaign to CUP standard and I can tell you that a lot of static, stationary, chief and air.ini objects have changed names over previous versions which make it absolutely necessary for campaign builders to either check their older stuff if it is still CUP compatible or, as Monty himself has suggested, start from scratch again...

I understand. But this is replaying this same track that I was talking about before, which is just the vanilla game.

If that loadout is not in CUP, it then breaks downward compatibility (at least, I believe so; correct me if I am wrong).

Maybe it is just an error in the vanilla game, that is also possible.
There is an error message about a missing propellor.tga and glass.tga caused by the vanilla game.
