Can you tell me if Tigers sounds are encorporated in the Jet War module as i don't seem to be hearing the new louder sounds.  I checked WAW module and they are there. In conf.ini I set Flyby=1 etc.  Do we need to unselect extensions as before?

I have only loaded the modules with minimul extras in JSGME as that will tell me if I have any problems. Is there anything I need to activate to get the sounds more pronounced?

So far so good but will report on any real problems I find if I can't find a fix myself.  The loading time is amasing.

You will need to modify your air.ini file in the WAW/STD folder.  Back up the original first.  There should be a good explanation about how to add planes if you do a search in the forum.

Hello, I finally succeeded to mount a working CUP version   ;D

BUT...

I have an issue with (and ONLY with) the Huey-D in multiplayer:

- when I take the Huey, the host can see me flying around normally

- when the host takes the Huey, I see him spawning but not flying when he takes off (his helicopter stays on the ground). When he crashes, I see an explosion at his spawn point and I can still do an external view on him, even if he takes another plane (the "phantom" Huey is still considered as being in-game)

Any ideas??

so here is my log file. My problem I'm having is where I try to start my game and it doesn't even load before CTD. Its says i'm missing a file called sas_basic_50.sfs Whats the solution?

i am not sure in what pack this file is included, but it is residing in the main il-2 1946 folder (like the Exe files etc), this either means one of your downloads was faulty (archive broken = missing files) or you missed a prerequisite. hmm. i am sure someone else will be able to help better.

that is quite a big logfile. 3.44MB... i am not a il-2 pro, but i tried to look over it.

first of all there seems to be a problem with loading several painting themes of aircraft, but i am not sure wether you are trying to load  a mission that uses skins you just don't have OR if you have selected skins that need the mod for hi-res textures. is the high-res texture mod enabled by default? not sure.

then you get a lot of warnings/errors that i also found. i tried to ask for help., but i got no replies to this. a mysterious file that doesn't seem to exist!

java.lang.RuntimeException: INTERNAL ERROR: Material: Can't load 'Sailor1o_dis.mat'

but this won't crash the game, it will just annoy your logfile and slow down your game if you fast forward time compression....
this is most probably the reason for your slowdown after 15 minutes, because the game engine keeps trying to load this mysterious file, but it is just not there, the more ships get damaged, the more it will look for this file.

now the weird thing is, google search for this file results in basically no results... i downloaded several shipmods from SAS and M4T... but none of these included this file... i made a posting about this in the CUP forum, but not a single reply... no idea whats going on there.

sas_basic_50.sfs is from modact 5.3. Double check you installed it correctly.

Sailor_dis error is fixed with latest ship extension mod I think.

Hm, I don't know what it is with the skins. I'll try out the hi-res textures and see what happens but most likely it's because the skins where old and no longer compatible with 4.12 ( a lot of my skins are from 4.09 and most still work). @Moezilla, I'll have a look at the ship extension mod and see if that fixes the error or not.
