Count me in tooslow - any chance you can add the Leo451?

of course its great that everyone can modify il-2 1946 (with modact) and in this special case also CUP any way they like it, but i see the problem that by already starting to add (unofficial) packs of additional mods on top of CUP the user base will get very fragmented installations.

especially since at the moment CUP still does have at least a few bugs and missing files and not properly implemented mods that really should get fixed by monty and patched up properly within his SFS file structure. even now people are already applying their own custom patches and fixes (which is great, the community is really working well together and helping out each other) but this might make things for mission and campaign creators difficult.

also i am pretty sure monty himself is already working on CUP add-on packages that make use of the CUP SFS installation, to include more vehicles / maps / mods, just like the TFM 412 was always getting new packs with additional stuff.

this is just my personal point of view and i don't want to put down any effort of people providing additional stuff and investing time to make things better. but for mission and campaign creators i think it is really important to have a very stable and bugfree default BASE installation, that is the same for everyone using it.

Decipher,

I think you are right, BUT when contributes like this are released, The people that uses them have to know that when an "official update" comes out, somethings won't work and it is your own responsibillity.

I really want those planes he mentioned and think about the possibilities :) I know that it is my own responsibillity, just like others must know.

I agree with moepkid. One of the benefits of CUP is the structure. It was designed so that you only have to back up the #WAW folder before adding any additional mods, so that if subsequent "official" patches get released, all you have to do is reinstall the backup. That way you always can easily revert back to the "base" installation if required.
In the meantime, we get the benefit of playing/experimenting with new aircraft, maps, etc.

ah yes, i agree with you. i think it will be interesting to see CUP grow in the near future and how it will develop, with addons, campaigns, missions, etc. i love how the il-2 1946 can still keep such a momentum, even after all these years, with the hard work of modders and the whole community it still can give us so much enjoyment and even so much new things to explore!

Have to say thanks to Monty and co., however CUP suffers the same issue for me as TFM412.  I tried going back to 4.10 with DBW+TFM and that also has the same issue.

And that issue is framerate.

As an example I run the P40B Pearl defence single mission - on the ground just idling before take off I'm getting no more than 50fps, when I'm in the air I get no more than 60 fps over the mountains and hills of Oahu, and when I get over Pearl that drops to about 30 fps and occasionally down to the late 20's with all the AI aircraft around.

Another example is sitting on the deck of a carrier with a full flight, I'm getting at max 40-50fps, and when the AI start up that drops to 20-30fps.

In comparison if I run just the TFM412 map packs, the TFM412 RAF01 and RAF02 packs, Carsmasters HD textures mod, the basic SAS modact addons (FOV mod, missionpro, visualmod, random belt start pos etc.), and the TFM42 XX packs (radio, sounds, menu etc.) I get about double the framerate I get when running TFM412 or this CUP pack.

So what in CUP (and TFM412) cuts my framerate by as much as, or more than, half?  Is it the (number of) static objects on the ground?  Can they be easily removed to improve framerate?

BTW my rig specs (the relevant bits) are - AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.2ghz, Gigabyte Geforce 960 GTX (mini ITX version), 8GB 1333mhz RAM, 7200RPM HDD, Windows 7 64 bit.

It seems that tooslow is not so slow at all! I am interested for sure, especially as this pack is jsgme loaded, it can be easily reversed later when this stuff comes through within the sfs system. As a matter of fact it may save Monty and the boys some work to have all of this available ready to go. Just sayin'. Thanks 'slow, now hurry up and get that thing posted....:) :P

I've checked out DOF and found a few problems, top3:

1. Loading screens are from Rise of Flight. :(
2. Many of the planes I checked were outdated wip versions, not from the final DBW-1916.
3. On most bombers weapon loadouts are missing or there's only one option.
