Hi henkypenky,

I checked those planes in the QMB of my CUP install and all are fine here.

Did you check your downloads against the checksums in the download post? Part 07 has a new checksum so watch out for that in the first post.

Hi Moezilla, no I didn't check this, just downloaded the file at the CUP page. Initially I had the wrong one, but after I discovered that I started a new fresh install.

Henkypenky, I experienced your problems with the Fw-190A-4 when I installed the 4.12 Fix_Engines Cowling and Prop mod by PA Jeronimo. I corrected it by removing the hier file in the Fw-190A-4 folder of the mod. The Ju88C-6 problem has been mentioned before and is corrected by adding the Ju88C-6 DBW cut-out, available on this site.

I'm totally confused and happy at the moment; I disabled #SAS_Engine Cowling and props by PA Jeronimo in JSGME and all the above mentioned problems are gone. I,m only confused how mod for #SAS can affect #WAW???

In the game I got a clean D model over 1000 km/hr (540 KIAS). The Airspeed Indicator is messed up in game because it only shows mach, it’s missing KIAS. The tests with 6 x Mk-83s and AIM-9s showed me getting above 900 km/hr (480 KIAS) with afterburner, which it shouldn’t require. The game shows an Engine Overheat if you use afterburner for xx seconds.

Hello Busdriver, very interesting info on the RF-4C! To echo DD_BadAim, I too live for this sort of stuff and to hear from someone who has intimate knowledge of these birds is very cool.

I've done some more testing and I can confirm I'm reading km/h and I was incorrect before. My top speed achievable in an empty F-4D at level flight is ~550km/h, and the engine overheats within seconds of take-off. I'm beginning to think my issue with the jets is deeper rooted than an error with one or two planes, as tests with the F-86, F-4, F-8, Mig-15, Mig-21 all show very similar flight characteristics (very under controlling with a full 90 degree banked turn yielding a few degrees of heading change) and only the Mig-21 had a notable top speed of ~800km/h (the F-8 was so slow I couldn't even keep it off the ground). The only jets I've found the handle somewhat decently are the F-18 variants, most others seem to be on the verge of unflyable.

Easily explained.

1. When loading SFS files the last loaded file is the one used by the game (mods added to the #WAW/#SAS/#DOF/#JTW/#WTF folder would take precedence).
2. In CUP the SFS_WAW folder loads before the SFS_AUTO folder.
3. The SAS_Cowling mod is added to the SFS_AUTO folder. So it overrides the files in the WAWxx.sfs files.

So if nothing overrides the SAS_Cowling mod by loading straight from your #WAW/#ETC folder then the files from the SAS_Cowling mod are what you see in your game.

No...it would involve opening up the sfs structure of the module thereby eliminating the advantage of the whole thing...
if you dont like waw use tfm for 4.12 and mod that one...it offers more flexibility in that regard

Tiger33's flyby sounds match only for one flyby settings .
I am a video maker, and I use other flyby settings . So the flyby-sounds do not match .

I thank the modders for their great work , but they think not often enough about video makers...

Very great work! It works perfect.

I added it in my IL2 database with all needed links. (hit on my signature)
It could be a alternative mirror for download.

Draken, This cracks me up:))  This has been going on since Orville (pilot) first complained to Wilbur (engineer) about a design flaw in the Wright Flyer :)

Welcome to the world of aviaition, Flight sim style:)
