 ;D
The "Jahú" is the only survivor of the Savoia Marchetti S.55 left in the whole World. It is preserved in the TAM Museum in Brazil.

During its career it wore four different paint schemes. The first was in italian colors, coded I-SAAV, when belonging to Count Casagrande.
In 1926 it was sold to João Ribeiro de Barros, who called it "Jahú", in honor of his hometown, and painted totally red, with the submersed portion of the fuselage-floats in black, with a thin white trim separating the red from the black. At that time no codes were carried.
On 26 October 1926 the Jahú took off from Genova (Italy), starting a flight meant to end in Brasil. Etapes were made in Gibraltrar, Las Palmas (Canary Islands) and Cabo Verde, where it had to stay for extensive repairs.
Here were added the codes IBAUQ and other inscriptions. The Jahú flew again only on 28 April 1927 to complete the trip by sea-landing at Fernando de Noronha, eleven hours after.
The Jahú was preserved, but at the beginning of the 2000 decade, it was in a very problematic condition.
In 2004 started the restoration of the Jahú, completed in 2007. It is now preserved and exposed in the TAM Museum, São Paulo, Brazil.

Hi >Lara<

I started to do up a skin for this a while back but due to mirroring issues on the hulls the lettering becomes reversed ( see pics below ) so I gave up on it for the time being. If one of our talented modders could address this issue I'd definitely take another go at it for you.

Cheers,
Ed

P.s This would also require two files and changes the cockpit canopy, engine supports and ailerons to red on the default and any other skins you may have for this aircraft.

Still looking nice, Edlor!

If you decide to do the skin of the Jahú as it was appearing still during 1926, the aircraft had only the name "Jahú" painted in front of the cockpit. No other inscriptions were present at that time. They were added only in 1927.

So, this would overcome the problem...

Thank you very much in advance. Waiting to fly it! (I'm really interested in the Jahú, because I have seen and touched the real thing! I'm Brazilian.... :) )

Thanks Lara  :)

That I can certainly do for you. Just give me a little time to clean it up a bit and I'll pm you when it's ready. ;)

Cheers,
Ed

P.s. Glad to hear you that opportunity Lara. It's always nice when we have the the chance to see and actually touch a piece of our national history and take pride in our predecessors accomplishments.

Hi >Lara<

Glad to hear that it's working for you and that your wishes to fly this famous aircraft are now a reality.

You are very welcome but we can't forget to thank Gio963tto for this aircraft and Mission_bug for his template. Without them none of this would have been possible.

Cheers.
