For the sake of game play and a reasonably full extent of the reticle being seen (without setting the POV quite close), a larger-than-collimator reticle mask is preferred, which will likely result in at least partial overlap of the optical and printed reticles when the POV is moved downward. But that's OK by me...
I think reticle should be drawn exactly as per explanation in the manual above (that's to say
118 mils the outer ring and
60 mils the inner one, with the three dots spaced by
28 mils each). Player's aiming position should be, again as per manual, no more than
250 mm (quite common, e.g.: Bf 109E has in-game 197 mm and Bf 109K 262 mm). In this position, player should watch what shown in picture above, that I repeat below, enlarged:
I am becoming keen to work on the Type B sight--no estimates on a date of completion.
Please, take your time.
Aside, I wonder how this sight was conceived (on the contrary of its contemporaries, I think) to aim at a target perpendicular to its own trajectory; even distance is estimated on target plane side, instead of the more common "wingspan" based evaluations. Apparently, it looks made for "slashing" attacks.
