Love the map!  Thank you.
I am not able to get the New2 map to run, unfortunately, due to a World Land java runtime error.

The other two maps work fine, but not the second with the new textures.  I can't see any reason why it doesn't work, but it doesn't.  Any thoughts?

I had some problem as well in the beginning with the new textures, but unfortunately I don't remember how I fix it. I would suggest that you check the new load.ini and you verify that you have all the needed textures. You can also have a look at the discussion thread on this map on AAA and maybe you'll find a solution

That did it!  In the post there is a needed edit if you don't have Bender's clouds applied.

Thank you!

As soon as I get back home again I can get some more work done on the following, all having something to do with Spain.

Hi all!
I just found this place, THX to Agracier. I'm the guy who's populating the Andalucia map as a member of Team International Brigade. I've been having a nice summer hiking in north. Finland and a bit Norway, but now i'm back at the drawing board again. We will publish a beta soon. I will put links here propably as a new threat. Problem is the airfields. I have been given a list of airfields and they are mostly from 1940:s. And they are many. I decited to make them generic, so they look kinda similiar. But mission builders can always populate them as they will and of course with unlocked FMB too!
And another problem is the size. The map is big. So there will be only major cities and villages. Beside that the countryside looks pretty dull. I know that in real life the area is densily populated, but it can't be helped. Otherwise it would take as long time as Canons new Channel map and i really don't have that much time to spend with it. Besides my knowledge of Spain is very limited. ::)
Cheers

On the airfields it probably wouldn´t matter all that much where you put them as there seemed to be so many anyway - most were very basic stuff, not much infrastructure, like finding a flat field long enough and doing some quick work ...

Just thought members might be interested in seeing a few screenshots of how kapteenis and I are progressing with the Andalucia map. We're going to first bring out a smaller sized version, covering less territory. This should allow a better and denser populating with objects.

Also did a new retexturing using some newer textures in 1024, which helped solve a dilemma on what to use for the woods textures - cultivated or forest trees. We now have olive/almond orchard textures in 1024 which allows for real trees to appear in the Sierra Nevada - as should be ...

Some of the screenshots are at dusk, one of my favorite times for flying missions. They are of lowlands and also of mountainous areas.

Couldn't resist showing a few of the area towards the south - Gibraltar and surroundings.
