Max!!

What a trip down memory lane!! I remember hearing that for the first time on an underground FM station out of Buffalo called WYSL-FM in the late sixties early seventies or so. It had a weak signal but I could get it if I fiddled with my old radio.

Anyway, good memories.

Right you are Bob!  ;D I also listened to them on some pirate radio station back in the days when it came out.
Kraftwerk revolutionized the electronic music industry in so many ways. They opened doors to all sorts of new
musical styles.

Now our good friend Western has opened the IL2-194+Mods doors to new Map styles and
landscape wonders we can all enjoy seeing!
I can expect to see many new Autobahns in the future.

I just want to use it as my secret landing strip for my Me-262 jet fighters!  :D

Did you mentioned that you can use Autobahn airstrips immediately on Poland_1944 and Poland_1945_winter maps ?

Awesome, Western, I will try to built those into Lapland tomorrow, a few at least, for some Finnish F/A-18s and Mig-21PFs landing there. :P :)

Cool aviation painting Gerax  8) I must find a bigger version to make it my game start-up screen!
That is a beautiful scene.

Here is a very interesting photo and film for those curious about Me-262s. and the autobahn.

...and a look at the autobahn in the 1930s

I wonder if there is an economical way of placing these objects...on an existing map almost impossible as all the heights have to made zero e.g. Thinking of a way to replace default highways on map_T.tga with those, which of course, is also not possible.

If we had an "object.tga", one could align such highways with map_h and map_t. :-\ ....then again these are objects comprised of various sets of different object stones, so the only way I see is manually placing them over dozens of miles and then editing the map H on all segments.  :o

Anyway, they look very cool.I think I try them first on a map with few forest tiles such as MiSp Zapolaire.
