Sure one could say "what's the deal?" but your own pilot's head movement visibility from outside is a very important feature for screenshots.

... yep, that's right, and this makes me think about something I would like to get, for ex with my FW190/Ta152 pack ...

When seen from outside view, at night, you can see the glow of the cockpits lights with Bf109s (and of course if you switch cockpit lights OFF, then the glow disappears), and I believe this is a stock effect, does any modder know how to get this with all ACs ...?  :P
