Hi Rasta!

Info about Ki-43-II are confusing, as explained by the authoritative Nicholas Millman (alias Straggler) in a e-mail he sent me time ago. Here follows an excerpt:

Also Bueschel, in his:

gives a wingspan of 11.437 m and wing area of 22.000 m² for what he calls Ki-43-IIa, then a wingspan of 10.837 m and 21.400 m² for what he calls Ki-43-IIb.

I don't think you may find (so far) any better detailed description on the matter than that reported above. I even guess that further intermediate variants may have occurred during the production run, as suggested by following picture, which is the best i know about this early variant of Ki-43-II, clearly showing rounded tips and internal hard points of type "I" wing, but already deprived of annular oil cooler...

Kagero's drawings are purely fancy, and Aerodetail one is inaccurate.
