C.U.P.- Module 02 - Dawn of Flight Pt-06

MAINTENANCE - NEW RESTORE POINT - AI MOUNTAIN CRASH FIXED
**************************************

SASEngineMOD and the Stupid 412 AI
Some time ago TD412 introduced many good things and a few problems; such as AI flying into mountains under certain circumstances.  Western0221's latest patch brilliantly fixes this but is incompatible with PAL's Chocks Mod.

In time we expect the Chocks MOD to be back but presently the EngineMOD and Western's AI Crash Fix must take priority for mission builders.  We have to use the Restore Point Install method this time because this fix involves more than just adding new content, some things have to go...

**************************************

RESTORE POINT INSTALL TYPE:
Make sure you are up-to-date with Parts 01 - 05 from previously.

1) JSGME DISABLE everything prefixed #CUP and #DOF

2) In your Main Il2 directory rem out (rename with a -) your current #DOF to -#DOF.

3) UnZIP/UnRAR 'C.U.P.- Module 02 - Dawn of Flight Pt-06' direct to your Il2 Main Directory and allow overwrite.

4) ENABLE JSGME Options to taste.

5) Delete old -#DOF at your convenience.

6) Check that you are up to date with the SAS Modular Map Expansion - SASMME PART-12

7) Install SASMME PART-12 - Easy way, just drop it all in...

**************************************

NOTAMS:
Dawn of Flight began with Dark Blue World (DBW) 1916.  DBW_1916 was largely the creation of VPMedia.

VPMedia compiled thousands of individual mods and tweaks, creating new ones where needed, and organised the overall project to produce DBW_1916, based on Dark Blue World and Il2 4:101.

My desire to upgrade the project to 412 was based on the use of additional FMB features from TD412 such as 'taxi to takeoff', which allows for more freeform FMB mission building, perfect for WWI.  The 412 FMB made it worth re-building the 410 based DBW_1916.

My main task was to seek out 412 versions of the 410 mods, then rebuild the objects list, add the unique vehicles, fix any classfile conflicts, integrate the whole thing into the Modular Map Expansion and compress the result to a set of SFS files and an open mod folder.  Now that Western0221's SASEngineMOD Patch fixes the 412 AI errors we are truly there at last!

This version of CUP - Dawn of Flight has the best 412 features and WWI mods for land, sea and air.  This is a very special package, that would have been impossible to even start without the lead of VPMedia and his talented team.

Please look at the CUP Manual for an insight on this marvelous team and the comprehensive 'who's who' of Il2 WWI Modding.

Thanks to all of you for helping me realise this modest update to the work you started - Now for the campaigns...

Watch out.I do believe at the rate Simons been working with his nose  to the grind stone we all might end up with the whole of WW1.
A great of thanks to all the modder's that have been involved in  bringing to you wonderful versions of those so very early aircraft of that time.

Hi Costas, absolutely my friend!

As long as all the latest sets are in place as described all the choice will be there.  I did recommend doing the latest map update last of all, just to make sure the static.ini was the very latest version.  All of these sets are up to date at this point and with the AI behaving itself and all those maps working you should have it all.  8)
