My Mossie + fixing my Mossie.....
« on: July 22, 2015, 09:21:03 AM »

Yesterday, July 21, 2015; a date which will live in infamy. My beautiful Parkzone Mosquito stalled and lost its wing tips...........Oh the Humanity!!!!!!  :\'(

This morning however, I fixed it. Here is the "finished" product.

The Mossie in all it's splendor.

Who's that handsome devil behind her?

Ahh I'm upside down!!!!!!!

The fixed portions.

And since I'm in Maine at the moment I decided to build some floats so I could fly off of water. My parents aren't too keen on the idea...

And finally my transmitter briefcase, battery, and full setup.

If any of you are in Maine and nearby the Damarscotta area, give me a ring. I'd love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

James/PvF

Attention gents!

As I showed you above, I wanted to make floats to put on my Mossie.

So I have been hard at work and I have the finished product!

Behold!!!!

Hope it looks as good to you guys as it does for me! Even if they are sideways :p

Time to fly!

Sincerely,

PvF/James

She's a bit heavier now, but she flies like she was meant to wear the floats. There was power to spare and she was fricking fast without them in the first place. She lost a step or two in the department of maneuverability, but she still tracks fine.

Sincerely,

James

Testflight acros H²O will tell wether your parents have to worry or not.
But that's the case at parents, they worry and fever with your projects too.
Good luck for the ongoing trials...
