Thanks Ol Navy.  I am using Windows 10 and having no problems with Il-2, but there are other things I am not sure I like about it.  At least I now have a back up possibility if I have to bale out later.  thank you!

You are quite welcome.  Something I did find that is kinda funny - the "Restore" is to Windows 7.  I wonder what happened to Windows 8 and 8.1?  I was running the latter.  Of well, I just chalk it up to one of the mystery's of Microsoft and thank them for the freebie.  There ain't many of them around any more.

Well, I think I am going to stick with windows 10--thankfully I can play my game with no issues--so I will have to learn to adjust on other nonessential components--like everything else I do on the computer!  Long live Il-2!

What I have read so far,  you have 30 days from the time you install Windows 10 to restore to an earlier version.  What happens if you decide that you want to role back after 30 days?

I'm not sure, but I'm betting that it would cost you.  Microsoft gives it away once, but twice is probably a stretch.  From what I've seen it might be around a hundred bucks (unless it's to "PRO" version) to change your mind later.

Hello,
I encountered problems with the game by using windows 10: blank screen, low fps, freezing.
I finally found the solution by up dating the driver of my graphic card.
I hope it will help other people.
Regards.

Hi all,
Just to let you know the edge browser in windows 10 does not support windows silverlight,
which might be a problem for other programs you use, but it seems to run IL2 just fine up to now.
cheers edc1

Curious about the specs on your PC. I'm running with 6GB of RAM and a NVidia GTX295 (SLI) with 2GB of RAM and I cannot get IL-2 CUP to get past loading Landscape files.... :--(

Bad Omen...worked ok earlier. Tried all C.U.P  DOF,WAW  Jet age

Have just tried them all again  but now I have "lost" the mouse pointer.

 Can,t select anything...

Investigating

Must re-activate the IL2 windows by pressing alt + TAB and select again the il2 windows, this will reactivate the app and your mouse.
