Ok, the guy on the left looks Asian and the guy and the guy on the right looks sad. The plane. Seems to have two cockpits, close together.  I’m guessing it’s British - dH?

You are in fact so close that I'll give it to you.
It is a de Havilland  DH9J,  with a Jaguar  engine.
And the occasion according to Flight:
"His Imperial Highness

I think you were.
The "9" builds on the "4". Little external difference.
And the "J" used both Jaguar and Jupiter engines
