Yes, it looks like a reasonable ending to this obnoxious affair. And we can all return to this game of ours, and carry on: "The best revenge is living well".

+ 1

The whole episode was getting a bit out of hand and IMHO a bit daft.........  :(
........However I would like to thank  ALL those who contribute to this site in whatever way......
I look forward to my daily visit to the SAS site and after all these years I still get a frisson of excitement when a new mod or a/c is released...which is not bad for a 56 year old bloke  :D

Keep up the good work !

Cheers

So, finally, it seems that both SAS and FM have been victims of someone with bad intentions...

Some peoples are really stupid, to do such things...

Sadly, in history, wars have begun with less than that !

I don't know of any such incident that FM had been victim of but if they were, I'm sorry for them.
The experience of having someone breaking in at your website isn't a nice one and whether or not I like what's being said over there about me and those I enjoy friendship with here, I don't wish that to anyone.
Like Albert Einstein already said "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."

But once again: No war please, just mods.
This place is no platform for anyone who's out for war.

Best regards - Mike

Professionally handled, 'tis a shame about those humans who are easily driven by jealousies, bitterness and in some aspect, their cultural differences & upbringing of being respectful to others (or lack thereof).

Though certainly inept with a computer, my time with this game goes back a ways, to AAA days.  Been a member of both sites for a while. Kept out of this whole foofaraw.
But I'm left with one question.
Does some one at this site alter the words of postings in these forums? No, I'm not talking about deleting offensive posts, that's just good business.
The question stands.  It's a simple yes or no.
Either way, peace to all.

PS:
The last two posts overlapped time wise.
I definately share GJE52's sentiments of who was really directing these attacks and am somehow glad the young boy who forwarded sensitive data got away with a decent warning and apologized.

In my younger fighting times I met a lot of aggressive and or simply stupid, in some cases smart bad apples or temporarily bad apples. The brave ones usually were those who went face to face instead back stabbing and usually had the courage to admit when they were wrong.
The young chap messed up in a criminal activity but apologized and thanks to the editors got away.

I am now happy to see that the minor involved in the hacking has fessed up and made a formal apology.
I am sure that there must be a lot of weight off his shoulders now.

However Ice Eagle's involvement of convincing/influencing a minor to do illegal/criminal activity is truly and utterly disgusting behavior on his part as an adult (which I will use that term very very loosely).
It is exactly the same as Ice Eagle convincing/influencing a minor to do a Break and Enter for his personal gain such as t.v, c.d. player etc.

It seems that Ice Eagle is not fessing up and I now consider the minor involved in the hacking to be much more of a man than what Ice Eagle is.
