It's okay Ricky, I think we got what you mean, as long as this isn't meant seriously:

I wouldn't really mind taking lives away, just over a silly internet quarrel, but then again, it's probably just a reflex comment from my emotions, but honestly, I've had it... Whoever leaked this information, if he was within the same living area and I knew who, he/she, no matter what age or condition, would honestly be in hospital right now...
Threatening someone with physical measures isn't the right way to solve any kind of issue including this one.

WHEN will this stop? Aren't we being too lean and merciful already? Just... Sort it out, for once and for all, with whatever means we need...
We're still on it.
Thing is: The deeper you dig the more it brings to light.
We've had our quarrels before, but this time the severity of the incident is so different that we have to make up our mind about how to proceed.
We have to weigh the possibilities, all of them bring risks and opportunities.
For instance, we're not out for retaliation, but then again, if we let criminals get away with it, it might fire back at us when the same shit happens next time.
At this point it's not even sure whether we just let it all go (highly unlikely after what we have discovered so far), decide each case separately or just forward everything in one big chunk to a lawyer with branch offices in all countries concerned. Once that escalation step has been taken, the outcome is no longer in our hands, so we are going to decide carefully, with the best for SAS, the IL-2 modding community and IL-2 generally in mind.

I'm just glad I can spend the weekends with someone I really care about, and just forget this all.
I see and it should be quite opposite:
You should not need real life to forget about IL-2 shit, instead IL-2 should give you a place to forget about real life issues.
That's where we want to get back to, and that's where we will get back to whatever it takes.

Best regards - Mike

Ghosti, come on :)
its a fu$%ing game...
the more serious thing here is the fraud thingie of an account, because that IS criminal, even in the backyard country that Austria is with regard to modern IT...
I personally do not care about FM or the guys over there, they live their dream while we are busy here plus we have CUP :D
but if - and I formulate the following words carefully - someone breaks into an account of someone else and steals stuff from there, and we are talking about intellectual property, than this is a crime and one that cannot be taken too lightly.
of course someone is innocent until proven guilty, but I know whom I trust to tell the truth...

other than that, relax, we are in very capable hands here and the guys offended here will surely take appropriate measures....

Well... This is disgusting.
IMHO the perpetrators of the stealing MUST be legally prosecuted and pay for their deeds. I totally support the idea to go for it. Cybercrime do exists, and what happened fells exactly into the parametres. So, SAS. Sue them! If not such things will happen again, and again... and again. Cut the evil at the root!
On the other side, I would like to broke a spear in defence of that "elsewhere" place. Few rotted apples do not means the entire basket is rotted. There are full of decente people over there at the "other place" that desserve our respect due to their dedication and honest behavior, so let's keep cold mind and not generalize.
The Peace between SAS and FM was hard earned due great dedication and common sense from both the parties. I really hope this recent shit that happened will not throw all the good work and collaborating spirit into the garbage. This would be a real shame.
In the whole world, from the beginning of Times, there were and Always will be some misfits like thieves, murderers, and similar a$$holes. It's part of that doubious thing called "Civilization"...
Let's not judge an entire people only from the deeds of a little minority...
I think that now, that the Admins of the other place knows what someone that is member of their place did, they will surely take the right measures to get rid of such a scum. It is in their own interest.

This is my personal opinion. So take it exactly for what it is. But let be assured that, if it would depends on me, I would sue the thief, and make him pay for every single bit of stuff he stole.

My deepest respect to SAS Admin. Team.

Cheers!

Its easy to say one bad apple doesn't charactorise the whole site, however if that was the case why wasn't it dealt with immediately inhouse 'over there' , the post removed by their admin, his account suspended and then someone politely informing admins here ?

One bad apple will eventually rot out the whole barrel. Theft is theft, ever had your home burgled ? It doesn't matter how little or how much they take....

Well nyali... as said, it's my personal opinion. So you're totally free to agree or not. But at that elsewhere I do know lot of nice and decent people that for sure feels disgusted with what happened over here as we are.
So I will not change my mind, and I will continue to respect you and your personal opinion, because you deserve the right to have a different opinion.

Cheers.

Thank you ! ;)

A moment of culture in a cruel world!

"Je ne suis pas d'accord avec votre opinion, mais je me battrai jusqu'au bout pour que vous puissiez l'exprimer."
This quote is attributed to Voltaire incorrectly.

<Google Translation ON>
If Voltaire never wrote this motto, he expressed philosophy. Actually, me-it was said, would be an apocryphal quote driven extrapolation of his questions on the Encyclopedia where he says: I liked the author of the Spirit (Helvetius). This man was better than all his enemies together; but I never approved nor the errors of his book nor trivial truths he delivers emphatically. I took his party highly when absurd men condemned for these same truths.

Much appreciated.
IL-2 needs more of your kind, both of you.
