Definitely the F-5E...

Ugliest : BF-109.... But it isn't in a bad way.. The 109 looks like it WANTS to kill you..

Best? The He-111 stepped cockpit versions.
Ugliest? Amiot 143
Best civi? DC-7

As for my votes...

Best military: English Electric Canberra (maybe the B-57 version with inline seats..can't decide)
Best civilian: Focke-Wulf Fw 200B
Ugliest: the Moraine Saulnier MS.406

Best military: Hands down, it's the Hawker Hunter
Best civilian: Learjet 24
Ugliest? There is no such thing like ugly planes, sorry. If it flies, it's nice.

They also have a simulator, built around a look alike Lightning cockpit, with real parts from it, like the throttle and stick, and gear lever etc ... (but not the dashboard), and pilot seat too for ex, and you can fly above the south coast of England, with an instructor giving you instructions ...

Lol. My sentiments almost. The F-5E, F-104, definately my fav jets. With a few others of course.
P-38 and P-51 for WWII and props.



The BF-109 family indeed comes not as classic beauty contest, but there are some way more ugly ones IMHO.

Some early bombers e.g. look like they are the attempt to make a motorized dinner table fly. :P


For the 50s:
The Sabre family, especially the Canadairs, combining elegance and 50s sport style with power.

I will not post links and videos, otherwise I would spam this thread all night loong. :P
