Hello ansons, you would be best putting your issue to the guys that actually compile the BAT content, there is a section for technical issues there I believe, I am not involved with BAT as far as adding content and making it function so you would be better letting let them know of your problem and if possible provide them a log from the mission, or the actual mission where the object does not show and they may be able to provide a solution for you. ;)

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hi Mission Bug,

I understand, but I thought it was valuable to have a stationary plane for the V1 as we have already the AI flyable plane.... Thus I submit this wish in this section ...By using a stationary plane, we can designate it as a target which is not possible for a static object. Anyway, thanks for the hint, as suggested I will submit  a request in the BAT Tech help with the log file to fix the issue on the static V1 air object not visible when  running the mission.

Best regards

Okay ansons, I added both to the first page. ;)

The readme is set as I do for all SSP as far as install goes in that it has the instructions to set up a section for the self stationary but if memory serves for BAT you can just add the entries to the existing stationary sections although for my test I did create that special section. :D

FI_103_V1 and RIV:

Note: these appear at the angle as they would on the ramp rather than flat on the floor as they are an image of the flyable aircraft unlike the stationary object that can, and is, set flat on the ground.

These were also added to my full stationary mod for 4.12.2 and as far as I know BAT uses that mod, however, from what I can see it does not have the entries so if you do have the full mod avaialble maybe try those entries as an experiment because the java should already be there, if not then use the SSP, your choice.

Hope that helps.

Take care and be safe.

Do stationary planes and self stationary planes have the same damage model as the flyable versions ?

Hi Misison_Bug,

Thanks a lot ! I can now simulate "noball" missions over the "Pas de Calais". I am currently creating a set of "2 minutes to target" missions to make a day by day Operation Overlord Chronicle.

Best regards and happy flying !

To be honest Draken I would not think so, if you look at vehicle stationary destruction in game it seems to be a simplified version of the vehicle whereby you just get a sort of lob sided and blackened version of that vehicle. It is not something I usually notice with aircraft stationaries as if in game you see them from a distance when trying to destroy them so I would think it will be a simplified version of the actual aircraft damage model we see with the pilot and AI aircraft in a mission but I might be wrong on that.

Okay ansons, glad you are good to go but please make the BAT team aware of the issue you had, it could be a bug and they might be able to sort it out.  ;)

Hi Mission Bug,

Thanks for the stationary planes, however I have a additional small request could you elevate more the stationary Fi-103 V1 planes by , let's say, 1.5 or 2m ?
Currently, they are too low to be put on the V1 ramp. see attached screenshots. Otherwise , I have put a request on the BAT tech help section for IL2 gurus to check the issue with the F103 V1 missile object not showing up in game...

Hi Pete,

Where would one find the P7a or is it under development?

Hello ansons, unfortunately I cannot alter those as they use the actual aircrafts folder so you would need to alter either the hier or FM to get the aircraft to sit any different. ;)

Now that said, you might be able to alter the height of the ramp as that is I think an object rather than part of the aircraft so should be able to be adjusted in the entries of the static.ini but then anyone who played your mission would also have to do adjustments to their own entries as well.  :D

Just a thought, you could try moving the ramp to somewhere else on the map as there might be a high spot where you have them and the ramp as an object will have been set to whatever height the modeller originally intended as placement for a specific map.
